Former University of Michigan standout and current Detroit Piston, Glenn Robinson III, drops by StockX to talk about being back in Michigan, helping others, fashion, sneakers, and his anti-jeans policy for this edition of “That’s Five.”
What influences you?
People helping others influences me. Fashion, and the latest trends.
Most overrated?
Jeans. You know I’m a sweats guy. I’m wearing sweats all the time so first thing off the top of my head is that. I like to be comfortable.
Most underrated?
The Detroit Pistons. I think we’re the most underrated right now (laughs).
What are you most excited about right now?
I think that I am most excited to see what’s next in the fashion world. You know I am big into that. I want to go to Italy and some other places like that where their style is three years in advance of here, people say. And I want to see what’s next for us. You see the Yeezys. You see a lot of things come back in style and being restocked: the Jordans, Reebok, all that stuff. So I am definitely excited to see what’s next.
What’s next for you?
Man, I think something exciting that I can bring to the city too is, you know, I did the dunk contest before. I want to do that again, here, and hopefully win it for the Pistons and Detroit. That would be cool. And hopefully just continuing my success with the Pistons. You know I am a U of M guy so just glad to be back here in Michigan. Got a lot of support from a lot of Michigan fans and Michigan people, and just loving it here.
Bonus Question: Was that 5?
5? Questions? Yeah, that was 5 questions.
