To kick off March, Jordan Brand is dropping a new UNC-inspired Jordan 1 colorway, Supreme and Nike SB are adding a twist to a legendary SB Dunk design, and Yeezy is adding a brand new silhouette to their extensive product line. Find out what other releases caught our attention in the latest edition of The Drop List.
Air Jordan 1 High University Blue
With March Madness approaching, or at least a version of it, Jordan Brand pays homage to MJ’s alma mater with the Air Jordan 1 High University Blue. The University Blue colorway is prominent in the Jordan 1’s history. The first UNC-inspired Jordan 1 dates back to 1985 when the Jordan 1 debuted. Since then, there have been numerous iterations of the UNC 1, most recently the Jordan 1 Retro High Fearless UNC Chicago. Jumpman is building off of its past and switching it up this week with a new iteration.
The upper of the Air Jordan 1 High University Blue is composed of a white and black tumbled leather upper with University Blue Durabuck overlays. Following traditional Jordan 1 detailing, a Nike Air woven label is located on the tongue and an Air Jordan Wings Logo is printed on the ankle. A white midsole and University Blue outsole complete rejuvenated classic.
The Air Jordan 1 High University Blue releases on Saturday, March 6th for $170 on the SNKRS app and at select retailers.
Supreme x Nike SB Dunk Low
Supreme and Nike SB are joining forces once again, only this time to deliver an SB Dunk Low inspired by one of the most sought-after Supreme SBs of all time. Donning gold stars and faux croc skin, the Nike SB Dunk Low Supreme nods to the extremely rare 2003 Nike SB Dunk High Supreme. The 2021 SB Dunk Low adds a twist to the OG with a new color palette and shape.
The Nike SB Dunk Low Supreme arrives in four colorways: Hyper Blue, Mean Green, Black, and Barkroot Brown. Each colorway features a white leather upper with saturated faux croc skin overlays and gold stars printed on the medial panel. Nike branding is prominent on the signature Nike SB overstuffed tongue and croc skin heel patch. A gold metallic Supreme deubré, white midsole, and colored outsole wrap up the design.
All four colorways of the Nike SB Dunk Low Supreme release this Thursday, March 4th for $110 exclusively in Supreme stores and on their online shop.
adidas Yeezy 450 Cloud White
One year ago, images of the adidas Yeezy 450 began to circulate when Kanye was spotted outside of the Yeezy Season 8 fashion show during Paris Fashion Week. This otherworldly design captured the attention of Yeezy fans, mostly because it is unlike anything Yeezy has ever made. Now, Yeezy is finally releasing its brand new 450 silhouette with the adidas Yeezy 450 Cloud White.
The adidas Yeezy 450 Cloud White is one of Yeezy’s most unique designs yet. Its simplified two-piece construction appears complex due to its extreme, molded foam sole. The sole clasps the mesh upper, acting as an exoskeleton to provide structure. Similar to the Yeezy 700 V3, this release does not feature Boost or adiPRENE technology. Instead, Yeezy utilizes EVA foam to deliver comfort.
The adidas Yeezy 450 Cloud White drops on Saturday, March 6th for $200 exclusively on the Yeezy Supply site.
Nike Dunk Low SP City Market
Nike is celebrating the role durable materials have played in their innovative heritage with the Nike Dunk Low SP City Market. References to Nike’s Blue Ribbon Studio, a collaborative design studio where employees can get creative with new materials and express themselves through experimentation, are prevalent throughout the design.
The Nike Dunk Low SP City Market is composed of a variety of upcycled materials. Each panel is constructed of a different canvas material, similar to the variety of bags one would see when passing by local vendors at a street market. The tongue contains a small, zippered compartment that is big enough to store a folded, reusable shopping bag – or anything worth keeping in a small bag. Following the market theme, the tongue label resembles the nutrition labels found on food packaging. Other details include a “Thank You For Caring” print on the insole, rope laces, and a white and beige sole.
The Nike Dunk Low SP City Market releases Thursday, March 4th for $110 on the SNKRS app and at select stockists.
Nike Dunk High PRM Dark Russet
Continuing the 2021 barrage of Dunks, Nike is adding premium material to the Dunk High with the Nike Dunk High PRM Dark Russet. Similar to the Nike Dunk Low Medium Curry, the Dark Russet takes on warm, earthy tones with a range of different suedes.
The upper of the Nike Dunk High PRM Dark Russet is constructed of a smooth suede Dark Russet upper with hairy suede Velvet Brown overlays and a Dark Curry Swoosh. A white and brown Nike Air woven label is sewn to the tongue. A Sail midsole and beige outsole complete this design.
The Nike Dunk High PRM Russet drops this Friday, March 5th for $120 on the SNKRS app and at select retailers.
