Best Sneakers This Week

adidas Yeezy Slide Pure (Restock)

For the second week in a row, the adidas Yeezy Slide Pure is the most-popular product of the week. Despite a series of restocks and an influx of supply into the market, these Slides are still trading for well above double their retail value, making them not only a summer staple, but a viable investment.

Air Jordan 4 Military Black

Taking inspiration from the original Air Jordan 4 Military Blue, the Air Jordan 4 Military Black is the latest Air Jordan 4 to dominate the market. In its first week, the Military Black became the most traded Jordan of the week on StockX, and the second most-traded sneaker, only trailing the Yeezy Slide Pure. And if you don’t consider Yeezy Slides to be a sneaker, then the Military Blacks took the top spot!

Most Expensive Sneaker This Week

Air Jordan 1 OG Bred (1985)

It’s hard to beat the OGs, and in this case, it’s the OG. Last week, a pair of the original Air Jordan 1 Bred, the shoe that was “banned” from the NBA and jumpstarted Michael Jordan’s signature line, sold for a whopping $27,000. While this sale is record-setting for the model, it should be warranted because a 1985 Air Jordan 1 in deadstock condition (box and all) in 2022 is a unicorn in the market considering the effects age can have on a sneaker.

Nike Air Max 1 Kasina Wong-Ang Orange & Grey

Following a Korea-exclusive release, the Nike Air Max 1 Kasina Wong-Ang Pack is finally being offered globally.

Celebrating South Korean boutique Kasina’s 25th Anniversary, the Nike Air Max 1 Kasina Wong-Ang Pack draws its inspiration from Wong-Ang Ducks, a style of carved wooden ducks traditionally gifted to newlywed couples. Both the Orange and Grey colorways feature a premium tumbled leather, faux horsehair, and suede construction with small Wong-Ang Duck embroideries. From there, an icy, semi-translucent outsole revealing a geometric pattern on the bottom of the midsole completes the design.

The Nike Air Max 1 Kasina Wong-Ang Pack releases on Wednesday, June 8th for $160 on the SNKRS app and in select retailers.

adidas Yeezy Foam RNR Onyx & Foam RNNR Sand

Yeezy delivers another pair of Foam RNNRs just in time for summer with the adidas Yeezy Foam RNR Onyx & Foam RNNR Sand.

You might be familiar with the adidas Yeezy Foam RNNR Sand because it is merely a restock of the colorway that debuted in the spring of 2021. Conversely, the Yeezy Foam RNR Onyx is an all-new colorway that builds off of Yeezy’s renowned neutral-toned aesthetic. And that’s not a typo – Yeezy seems to have changed the name of the silhouette for the Onyx colorway to “RNR”, a change that we hope comes with some explanation soon enough. Both Foam clogs arrive with an oval-cut foam construction made of part EVA and algae. At the base, a cushioned footbed offers comfort and support.

The adidas Yeezy Foam RNR Onyx & Foam RNNR Sand release on Saturday, June 11th for $80 on the adidas CONFIRMED app and in select stores.

NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe

For the past ten years, Tom Sachs’ NikeCraft program seems to have been focused on designing and constructing products to support all the activities one might face in the day-to-day. Now, after a brief hiatus since the renowned Mars Yard series, Nike and Tom Sachs offer the NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe.

The NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe (GPS) is a minimalist, do-everything shoe that will thrive in any possible scenario thrown your way. In a clean styling, the GPS boasts a three-piece molded cup sole, suede mudguards, microfiber collar, and an ultra-breathable knit that is open enough to breathe but tight enough to fend off rain and snow. Touching on Sachs’ previous designs, a waffle tread outsole similar to that of the first Nike Moon Shoe and a tongue with exposed foam edges adds a vintage appeal.

The NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe (GPS) releases on Friday, June 10th for $109.99 on nikecraft.com.

Nike Air Presto Hello Kitty

After a series of global in-store releases, the Nike Air Presto Hello Kitty will be offered once again, this time on the US SNKRS app.

The Nike Air Presto Hello Kitty commemorates Sanrio’s Hello Kitty, a cult-classic fictional character created by Yuko Shimizu in 1974. The upper is composed of a light blue neoprene upper with Hello Kitty graphics and a semi-translucent TPU lace cage. At the heel, a Hello Kitty styled heel wrap adds further detailing. A white and black Air sole with Swoosh detailing provides stability and traction.

The Nike Air Presto Hello Kitty releases in full-family sizing on Friday, June 10th for $140 on the SNKRS app.

Nike Air Force 1 Mid Chocolate & Venice

Nike adds a luxe look to the Air Force 1 Mid with the Nike Air Force 1 Mid Chocolate & Venice.

Opting for a plush two-tone Nubuck construction, the Nike Air Force 1 Mid Chocolate & Venice both bring a velvety feel stemming from the base of the upper to the Swooshes. The Chocolate colorway implements a dark brown and cream palette, while the Venice pair sports a faint pink and off-white upper. Ankle straps with mini-Swoosh embroideries offer a secure fit, while a thick Air cupsole amplifies the AF1s timeless design.

The Nike Air Force 1 Mid Chocolate & Venice both release on Thursday, June 9th for $150 on the SNKRS app and in select Nike retailers.
