This week, Gucci and Hot Wheels came together to collaborate on one of the hottest collectibles of the season with the Hot Wheels Gucci Cadillac Seville, KAWS dropped some Skeleton ornaments just ahead of Halloween, and Panini debuts a brand new standalone set with 2020-21 Panini Recon Basketball. Hot Wheels Gucci Cadillac Seville

Hot Wheels Gucci Cadillac SevilleAs part of Gucci’s 100th Anniversary celebration this year, the luxury brand came together with the most globally traded collectible brand, Hot Wheels, to collaborate on the Hot Wheels Gucci Cadillac Seville. The diecast model saw an extremely limited release with each individual car coming numbered out of 5,000.

The Hot Wheels Gucci Cadillac Seville is based on the 1982 model of the car and features a white paint job, a red racing stripe, a Gucci license plate, and a monogrammed Gucci roof.  Each 1/64 scale model car comes packaged in a special Gucci branded box. The Hot Wheels Gucci Cadillac Seville was released on October 18th on the Gucci website for a retail price of $120.

KAWS Skeleton Ornaments

KAWS Skeleton Ornament Set

In celebration of the recent KAWS x Fortnite collaboration, the Brooklyn based artist released a collection of Skeleton Ornaments. Each KAWS Skeleton Ornament measures over three feet tall and is modeled after the KAWS Skeleton outfit that was made available in Fortnite starting on October 17th. The KAWS Skeleton Ornament figures come in pink, green, orange, and Bone. They released alongside collectible enamel pins, as well as t-shirts, and pajamas on the KAWSONE website starting on October 20th for a retail price of $48. The ornaments are set to ship out in 6-8 weeks.

2020-21 Panini Recon Basketball

2020-21 Panini Recon Basketball Hobby Box

2020-21 Panini Recon Basketball is breaking away from Panini Chronicles Basketball and making its debut as a standalone set. The Recon brand focuses on wild geometric card designs and features bold purple and blue hues. The base set checklist is made up of the top veterans and rookies from the 2020-21 NBA season including the Rookie of the Year LaMelo Ball, and other first-year standouts such as Anthony Edwards, Tyrese Haliburton, plus more. 2020-21 Panini Recon Basketball will also include sticker autographs for these exciting rookies in the Recon Signatures and True Potential Signature subsets.

The 2020-21 Panini Recon Basketball Hobby Box comes with six cards per pack, and ten packs per box. Inside each box you will hit two autographs, ten limited print run color variation parallels, and ten inserts or insert parallels. 2020-21 Panini Recon Basketball Hobby Boxes are set to release on October 27th at online and local trading card hobby shops.

2021 Panini Absolute Football holds a 200 card base set and stays true to its name by carrying a wide selection of autograph and relic cards. The 2021 rookie class will be the most sought-after cards in the set with top players including Trevor Lawrence, Trey Lance, Justin Fields, DeVonta Smith, plus more. In addition to the various autograph and memorabilia subsets, 2021 Panini Absolute Football will be the first of this collecting season to include the Kaboom! inserts which are widely chased every year.

The 2021 Panini Absolute Football Hobby Box contains five cards per pack, and three packs per box. Each box comes with one Rookie Premiere Autograph, two additional autographs, two memorabilia cards, one insert, two limited print run color variation parallels, and one rookie card. Lower price point retail boxes like blasters and mega boxes are also expected and will be available at stores such as Target and Walmart.

The 2021 Panini Absolute Football Hobby Box releases on October 27th at online and local trading card hobby shops.

Keeping with tradition, 2021 Topps Update Series Baseball is the final flagship release of this collecting year. The base set checklist is comprised of 330 cards that include traded players in their new uniforms, rookies who made their debut later in the season, and a variety of season highlight cards that cover the 2021 campaign. Although they are not as prevalent as in other Topps Baseball products, autograph and relic cards can be found in the set. 

Like past years, the 2021 Topps Update Baseball set will come in two different hobby box formats. The regular 2021 Topps Update Baseball Hobby Box comes with 14 cards per pack, and 24 packs per box. On average, each hobby box will hold one autograph or Relic card and one Silver Pack that contains Chromium Mojo parallels that utilize the 1985 Topps Baseball card design. The 2021 Topps Update Baseball HTA Jumbo Box contains 46 cards per pack, and ten packs per box and promises one Autograph, two relics, and two Silver Packs. 

2021 Topps Update Baseball will also be available in lower price point retail boxes such as blasters and hanger boxes that will begin appearing on the shelves of Targets and Walmarts around the same time as the hobby box releases. The 2021 Topps Update Baseball Hobby and HTA Jumbo Box both will release on October 29th at online and local card stores.

2021 Topps Heritage Minor League Baseball provides an option for those interested in collecting the top prospects before they make it in the pros. The 200 card base set features a vintage utilizing the 1972 Topps Baseball card design. Autographs will also be available in the set for some of the most hyped up-and-comers such as Austin Martin and Spencer Torkelson.

The 2021 Topps Heritage Minor League Baseball Hobby Box holds eight cards per pack and 18 packs per box. This year’s edition doubles the number of autographs that you will receive as each box promises two, in addition to one Box Topper Pack which holds three 1972 Topps Baseball Poster cards.

2021-22 Upper Deck Tim Hortons Hockey

2021-22 Upper Deck Tim Hortons HockeyFor those in Canada, 2021-22 Upper Deck Tim Hortons Hockey is available soon. The set is made up of 270 total cards. Aside from the base set, you can look for limited-edition Red parallels that can be found in one out of every four packs, as well as very rare autograph and memorabilia cards that will be issued as redemption cards within the packs. One of the most coveted autograph cards in the set is the Sidney Crosby autograph that is limited to only 87 copies. You can begin looking for the 2021-22 Upper Deck Tim Hortons packs at participating Canadian Tim Hortons locations starting on October 27th. Each pack comes with three cards and will be sold for $1 with the purchase of any beverage, or $1.99 without a beverage.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Legendary Duelists: Synchro Storm packs a punch as it provides a power boost to three strategies used by Duelists who specialize in Wind Monsters. The set is composed of 56 cards including nine Ultra Rares, eight Super Rares, ten Rares, and 29 Commons. One card in the set is also said to be a Ghost Rare, but it has not been announced which card it will be yet.

The Yu-Gi-Oh! Legendary Duelists: Synchro Storm Booster Box comes in the standard format with five cards per pack and 36 packs per box. The set is expected to launch on October 27th at official tournament stores, and October 29th at all local or online trading card game stores.
