KAWS: HOLIDAY SINGAPORE Figures
KAWS: HOLIDAY is touring in Singapore this week and will be on display November 13th-20th at The Float @ Marina Bay. The installation will feature a 42-meter long inflatable KAWS Companion lying on its back with a smaller Companion resting in its arms against the larger figure’s chest. The event is the seventh stop the KAWS: HOLIDAY has made since 2018 which includes showings in Seoul, Taipei, Hong Kong, Japan, Outer Space (where the figure took a trip into Space tied to a weather balloon), and the United Kingdom, which took place earlier this year. Much like its previous destinations, this installment is accompanied by a smaller version of the Companion figures featured in the display. The KAWS: HOLIDAY SINGAPORE figures will release in three different colorways, brown, grey, and black. The figures drop on November 12th at 10PM EST at DDTStore.com for a retail price of $290 each. The KAWS: HOLIDAY SINGAPORE figures are releasing alongside a camping set, commemorative fan, and Tank Tops. The figures are expected to ship in December.
KAWS x Reese’s Puffs
Over the past few years, Reese’s Puffs has collaborated with several artists including Lil Yachty and Travis Scott. This time around they are collaborating with the Brooklyn-based artist, KAWS. The KAWS x Reese’s Puffs cereal features an image of the artist’s famed Companion figure bathing in a bowl of Reese’s Puffs cereal on the front of the box, as well as KAWS’ X motif at the top of the box. While you will not find any KAWS prizes inside, the box does include a QR code that is rumored to link to an augmented reality game called KAWSPUFFS.
The KAWS x Reese’s Puffs cereal officially releases on November 8th with a limited edition blue box releasing as well. The more widely available orange boxes have already begun to appear at some Target and Walmart stores over the course of the last month. You will be able to find KAWS x Reese’s Puffs in three different sizes, regular, Family, and Giant wherever the General Mills cereal brand is sold.
Upper Deck Space Jam: A New Legacy
Much of the 2021 Upper Deck Space Jam: A New Legacy set is still shrouded in mystery. However, we do know that autographs will be a part of the checklist, which all but guarantees we will see LeBron James autograph cards. Some of the other stars of Hollywood, the NBA, and the WNBA making cameo appearances in Space Jam A New Legacy will also have autographs in the set.
Right now, we know 2021 Upper Deck Space Jam: A New Legacy cards will come in blaster boxes. In each of these blaster boxes you will find five cards per pack, and six packs per box. On average, you will hit six Neon Blue base parallels, and one Ready to Jam Foil insert in every blaster box. With many of the parallel options being listed as “retail only” it has led to the speculation that other formats such as hobby boxes may be coming as well. The Upper Deck Space Jam: A New Legacy Blaster Box is set to hit shelves on November 10th.
2020-21 O-Pee-Chee Platinum Hockey
2020-21 O-Pee-Chee Platinum Hockey has two main draws for collectors: first, the set is printed on chromium stock, and second, the autographs found in the set are all directly on the surface of the card. The checklist cuts down the 600 O-Pee-Chee base set that was released earlier this year to just 200 cards, with 150 NHL veterans and 50 Marquee Rookie cards. All of the top NHL rookies who made their debut during the 2020-21 season can be found including Alexis LaFreniére and Kirill Kaprizov.
Within each 2020-21 O-Pee-Chee Platinum Hockey Hobby Box you will receive four cards per pack, and 20 packs per box. On average, you will add one autograph, two Rainbow parallels, two Sunset Parallels, two limited print run serial-numbered parallels, six Retros cards, one Retros Rainbow parallel, and three inserts to your collection. The 2020-21 O-Pee-Chee Platinum Hockey Hobby Box can be found at local and online trading card hobby shops starting on November 10th.
2021 Panini National Treasures Baseball
2021 Panini National Treasures Baseball offers a premium option to MLBPA collectors. Panini does not hold the licensing rights to the MLB, so each card is void of any MLB logos or trademarks. The entire set is made up of only autograph and memorabilia cards that cover former MLB Hall of Famers, current stars, and up-and-coming rookies who just finished their first season in the big leagues.
The 2021 Panini National Treasures Baseball Hobby Box comes with eight cards per pack and one pack per box with each card featuring either an autograph or a piece of MLB memorabilia such as a jersey or bat slice. 2021 Panini National Treasures Baseball Hobby Boxes are set to release at online and local trading card hobby shops on November 12th.
Pokémon Sword & Shield Fusion Strike
Pokémon Fusion Strike kicks off a busy month for the Pokémon Company International with the new Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl video game releasing in less than two weeks. Fusion Strike is showing up in a huge way (literally) as the set will be the largest to date made up of 284 cards, which includes 20 Secret Rares. The set sees the addition of Mew VMAX and Hoopa V to the TCG.
Pokémon Fusion Strike is the eighth main expansion in the Pokémon Sword & Shield Series with booster packs coming in a variety of products including Fusion Strike Booster Boxes, Fusion Strike Elite Trainer Boxes, and a Fusion Strike Pokémon Center Exclusive Elite Trainer Box, among other products such as Collections and Tins. The Pokémon Fusion Strike Booster Box allows you the quickest way to build up your collection as each box comes equipped with 36 Pokémon Fusion Strike booster packs, with each containing ten cards.
