For those days where you don't want to try so hard, but look like you did. Here are the best slides and slip-ons for the summer.

Sometimes, we just don’t have the time to put together an elaborate look or find the perfect pair. We’re in a rush, overwhelmed by choices, or just feeling lazy—all valid reasons for having a trusty pair of slides or slip-ons closeby. Since 2020, slides and slip-ons have been some of the most sought-after pieces of footwear to rock all year round, but especially in the summertime. And since they’re so easy to put on and go, you want to make sure you get a pair that not only feels good but looks even better. If you’re lost or just want to add a new pair of shoes to your rotation, we put together a list of the best slides and slip-ons for the season.

Vans Vault Classic Slip-On Checkerboard

I’ve been wearing these Vans for two years straight and they will easily be in my top five rotation for many more years to come. The Vans Slip-On Checkerboard, particularly their Vault model, is extremely comfortable and looks good with anything you could think of. The best part is they even look amazing worn out and beaten up, so make sure to get some good use out of them this season. I also wear them with or without socks (it’s not gross, I swear) and they still feel good either way. These shoes have been around for decades and are perfect for adding a laid-back vibe to any summer outfit. Plus, the slip-on design makes it easy to throw them on and go.

Birkenstock Boston Suede Taupe

I think it’s time I finally hit the Buy Now button on these. I’ve been eyeing these Birkenstock Bostons for so long mainly because I’m OBSESSED with them (and if you’ve read any of my other pieces, you know I’ve never used that word to describe a shoe, let alone a slide). I’ve tried them on multiple times and every time I’ve slipped my foot in them, they’ve been an absolute comfort and joy to wear. They’re made with a suede upper and a contoured cork footbed, which continues to mold to your foot and becomes more malleable with wear. The neutral taupe color is versatile and goes with just about anything. Imma just buy them, didn’t know this editorial entry would also get me to purchase them too. I’m great at my job.

Crocs Mega Crush Black

Crocs have come a long way since their original clog design. The Mega Crush Black slip-ons are a great choice for those looking for something lightweight, comfortable, and extremely bold in design. They feature a Croslite foam footbed that molds to your feet for a custom fit. They’re also just absolute stompers of a shoe and are sure to grab the attention of those around you (positive attention, of course). And if the black colorway isn’t your vibe, there are brighter options to choose from.

Crocs Pollex Slide by Salehe Bembury Citrus Milk

Another banger from Crocs is their recent drop with their favorite designer, Salehe Bembury. The former Versace Footwear Design VP reimagined his signature fingerprint design to a pair of Crocs Slides. These slides feature a playful Citrus Milk colorway and also feature Crocs’ Croslite foam footbeds for ultimate comfort.

adidas Foam RNR Clay Taupe

The adidas Foam RNNR is another head-turner and proponent of unconventional design. These slides feature a unique one-piece foam construction that is durable yet plush. The molded footbed provides excellent support and cushioning, making them perfect for those summer days when you’re gonna be on your feet all day.
