This article is part 27 of 42 in the series: A Perfect Fit

After a three-year hiatus, Nike and artist Tom Sachs come together again to create a whole new silhouette, the General Purpose Shoe. If you’re looking for an outfit to match, make sure to check out StockX to help you put together A Perfect Fit.

The NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe (GPS) is a physical representation of Tom Sachs’ belief that sneakers are merely tools and should be treated as such. Since his first collaboration with Nike, every sneaker he’s produced with the Swoosh has focused on crafting these “tools” with the greatest quality and detail for users to utilize them for as long as possible. And even though his set of Nike Mars Yard sneakers were themed around space and astronaut equipment, the follow-up to his first series of sneakers takes a more general approach. The NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe’s breathable knit upper, microfiber collar, and treaded outsole make for a sneaker that is as utilitarian and practical as it gets.

Awake x Carhartt WIP T-shirt White

As utilitarian as these sneakers are, they deserve a fit that matches that vibe. Carhartt Work In Progress, or W.I.P., has been at the forefront of workwear infiltrating the streetwear scene and their collaboration with Awake NY might be just the right tee for the NikeCraft GPS. The tee resembles Carhartt’s popular Pocket t-shirt on the front, while joint Awake and Carhartt W.I.P. logos cover the back of the shirt. If white isn’t your thing, Carhartt W.I.P. and Awake dropped both blue and black tees that might be more your speed. Supreme Nylon Painter Short Olive

These Supreme Nylon Painter shorts continue the workwear look for the Tom Sachs GPS. It’s not often to see the painter style make its way onto a short, but leave it to Supreme to go against the norm. The Painter shorts are constructed from 100% nylon as their name suggests, making them a lightweight option for the summer. And its Olive color makes them a great pairing for the similar muted-toned sneaker.

Gallery Dept. French T-shirt Cream/Orange

With temperatures rising all over the hemisphere this summer, the more tees in your rotation the better. Gallery Dept. supplies another tee that would match these GPS sneakers. Despite the brand being based in LA, and supposedly on an indefinite hiatus, this graphic tee offers a Parisian flair. The Gallery Dept. French T-Shirt has a boldly printed “DÉPT. de la Galerie” phrase on both the front and back of the tee, which translates to brand’s name in French. The tee’s cream and orange will pair nicely with the light cream uppers on the Tom Sachs collab.

BAPE Gore-Tex 1st Camo Bucket Hat Green

This BAPE bucket hat will not only protect your head from sun rays, but will also keep you dry from the rain. Thanks to its Gore-Tex material, the BAPE Gore-Tex 1st Camo Bucket Hat is the perfect headpiece for those unpredictable days mixed with sunshine and rainfall with its water-wicking abilities. And if you fancy a brighter color, the hat comes in a yellow colorway as well.

Cactus Plant Flea Market Tube Socks Green White

Although you can wear the NikeCraft General Purpose Shoes without socks, sometimes a pair of socks can boost your fit. These Cactus Plant Flea Market Tube Socks bring a pop of color to your GPS sneakers. The green and white socks are constructed from soft cotton and form-fitting elastic to ensure a sturdy fit to your feet.
