Since the shoe was first teased this past March, the Air VaporMax 2019 Cactus Plant Flea Market (W) has been one of the hottest discussions in sneakerhead circles. An extremely limited shoe, the Dover Street Market first was designed by Cynthia Lu.
The VaporMax base starts with a dark grey translucent nylon material. Stitch tape helps embellish where the shoe is sewn together. Each shoe has hand glued styled letters reading “Just Do It”. Black on the left shoe, and white on the right. Traditional laces have been replaced with extra thick rope laces. While a traditional black Nike swoosh is seen on the midsole, a crudely formed teal Swoosh is fastened to each shoe. Each heel dons a bright yellow smiley face, a symbol that has become a staple on many of the Pharrell-endorsed streetwear brand’s designs.
