We’re back with another edition of The Cultivate Wrist, featuring some of the best and/or most interesting Asks you’ll find on StockX. There’s something for everyone this week, from entry level icons to late game must haves. Represented are watches from Switzerland, Germany, and Japan, each with their own distinct personality. Let’s jump right in.
Seiko’s Prospex family is immensely popular among watch aficionados of all stripes, and for good reason. These well built, handsome, and made entirely in-house watches are accessible to everyone thanks to price points that hover around $500. You’re likely to find one in watch boxes alongside far more heavyweight hardware. The SRP775 is a timeless take on the Seiko diver with deep heritage built right in. All that street cred for under $300, right here.
Tudor made a splash when the returned to US markets in 2010, and much of that success is owed to the Black Bay Heritage you see here. It all started with that burgundy bezel, and the Tudor rose on the dial. The newer models may enjoy in-house movements, but these originals have no shortage of character. It was a hit when it was released and it looks just as good now, especially on that weathered leather strap. This example has an Ask at just $2,750 right here.
Breitling Transocean Chronograph
Breitling may have some controversial designs in their collection, but it’s hard to argue with the Transocean chronograph seen here, especially on the milanese bracelet. This Transocean hits all the right chronograph notes you want to see from Breitling. It’s sporty but, somehow, elegant at the same time, meaning this will be a great all around watch within your wardrobe. The current Ask is well under $4,000 on this example, get your Bid in right here.
Glashutte Original Senator Sixties
The Senator Sixties from the German brand Glashutte Original is a stylish yet under the radar dress slash business casual watch. There are plenty of details to discover and enjoy with this one, from the dial hiding a subtle texture, to the art nouveau Arabic hour installments at 3, 6, 9, and 12 o’clock. The beautifully decorated movement visible through the back doesn’t hurt the situation either. Coming in under $5,000, this Senator Sixties is a a great value considering the in-house movement and level of finishing detail. Get your Bid in right here.
If you like Rolex, but all your friends have Submariners, this is the watch for you that will stand out just enough. The Sea-Dweller ref 16600 wears exceptionally well considering its diving pedigree, and retains much of the charm of the Submariner design. At 40mm in diameter, it’s far more manageable on the wrist than modern counterparts, and is just a bit more special than your run of the mill steel sports watch from Rolex. It’s also a steal in comparison, with an Ask at $7,700. Bid on this watch right here.
