To close out the month of August, Jordan Brand re-issues the Air Jordan 4 Lightning, Yeezy delivers a color-changing Yeezy Boost 350 V2, and Jeremy Scott teams up with adidas again to bring back his very first Forum Wings 1.0. Find out what other new releases are coming your way in this latest installment of The Drop List.
Air Jordan 4 Lightning 2021
In one of the most anticipated releases of the year, Jordan brings back the Air Jordan 4 Retro Lightning for the first time since 2006.
Arriving in Tour Yellow Durabuck with black netted panels and dark grey eyelets, the Air Jordan 4 Retro Lightning looks very similar to the original. All of its key details are on full display, like its Jumpman logo heel tabs and Jordan Flight logo tongue patches. Where the 2021 model veers away from the 2006 model is in its shape. Instead of featuring the sleeker shape that most Jordan 4 Retros in the mid-2000s had, this release stays true to the original 1989 silhouette.
The Air Jordan 4 Retro Lightning releases on Saturday, August 28th for $190 on the SNKRS app and at select stores.
adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Light
Continuing their run of monotone colorways, Yeezy experiments with UV-light sensitivity on the adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Light.
At a glance, the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Light arrives in a clean triple white color palette, but when exposed to UV light (like sunlight), the white Primeknit upper changes to light pink and its mesh side stripe to dark yellow. An off-white Boost sole and canvas heel tab add the finishing touches.
The Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Light releases on Saturday, August 21st for $220 on Yeezy Supply and at select retailers.
adidas Forum Jeremy Scott Wings 1.0 Money
After an extended hiatus, Jeremy Scott and adidas are back, reviving one of their most recognized designs, the adidas Forum Jeremy Scott Wings 1.0 Money.
The adidas Forum Jeremy Scott Wings 1.0 Money is monumental in Scott’s catalog with adidas – it is the first design they ever released almost 20 years ago. The Wings 1.0 Money stays true to the original with a leather upper fully decorated in a patchwork currency print and dark green leather three stripe overlays. Following Scott’s charismatic style, leather wings jet off of the lateral eyestay to complete this monetary masterpiece.
The adidas Forum Jeremy Scott Wings 1.0 Money release on Tuesday, August 24th for $160 on the adidas CONFIRMED app and at select retailers.
Air Jordan 1 Low Starfish
If you are looking for a pair of Jordan 1s that break the glass without breaking the bank, the Air Jordan 1 Low Starfish delivers Shattered Backboard vibes in a low-cut silhouette.
The Air Jordan 1 Low Starfish features a smooth white leather upper with black Swooshes and sharp Starfish overlays, similar to the color uniform Michael Jordan wore when he famously broke the backboard in a 1985 exhibition game in Italy. A matching woven tongue label adds to the design’s retro appeal.
The Air Jordan 1 Low Starfish releases on Thursday, August 26th for $130 on the SNKRS app and at select stores.
Nike LDWaffle sacai Fragment Blue Void
Japanese label sacai is kicking off a collection of three-way LDWaffle collaborations with the Nike LDWaffle sacai Fragment Blue Void.
The Nike LDWaffle sacai Fragment Blue Void combines the best of both sacai and Fragment’s aesthetics. The mesh, leather, and suede construction of the LDWaffle represents sacai’s experimental outlook, while the black and Blue Void palette is more reserved, similar to the utilitarian look that many of Fragment’s collaborations have.
The Nike LDWaffle sacai Fragment Blue Void release on Friday, August 27th for $170 on the SNKRS app and at select retailers.
adidas Humanrace Sičhona Blue
Pharrell and adidas introduce a new silhouette inspired by the mechanics of the human foot with the adidas Humanrace Sičhona Blue.
The adidas Humanrace Sičhona Blue delivers a barefoot feeling by stripping away unnecessary elements with an all-new direct-inject casting construction. This method merges the sock-like Primeknit upper directly to the anatomically molded TPU midsole, improving ground feel.
The adidas Humanrace Sičhona Blue releases on Friday, August 27th for $180 on the adidas CONFIRMED app and at select stores.
Nike Air Max 90 Laser Mahogany
Nike expands their Air Max 90 Laser collection with a second version of the Nike Air Max 90 Laser Mahogany.
Unlike June’s model that boasted tumbled leather uppers, the Nike Air Max 90 Laser Mahogany is constructed of a one-piece Mahogany suede upper with traditional AM90 panels and faux wood grain texture etched by lasers. From there, a leather heel patch with Nike Air branding and waxed laces provides additional detailing.
The Nike Air Max 90 Laser Mahogany releases on Friday, August 27th for $200 on the SNKRS app and at select stores.
