The Air Jordan XX3 is the most luxurious Jordan design created by Mark Smith and Tinker Hatfield. At the time of its original release back in 2008, there was a lot of speculation around whether or not the Jordan signature line would continue. The 23rd Air Jordan model seemed like a fitting place to end the line, considering it was Michael’s jersey number. Fast forward 8 years or so and we’re thankful that the line didn’t stop there.
The original Jordan XX3 releases were highlighted by two limited editions, the Jordan XX3 “Titanium” (pictured above) and the Jordan XX3 “Finale”, which given its nickname, added to the speculation that we’d seen the last new model in the Jordan line. Each pair was limited to 23 pairs at 23 pairs in the United States (529 in each colorway). The Titanium XX3 also released in overseas markets in the same amount of 529, making them slightly more available but still one of the most limited Jordan shoes ever released not counting player exclusives, of course. In late 2015, the Chicago XX3 became the first Air Jordan XX3 Retro but now, Michael Jordan’s son, Marcus is opening his store, Trophy Room, with another pair of limited edition Air Jordan XX3 colorways.
Marcus Jordan’s Trophy Room store opens 5/23, a numerical combination of Marcus’ former jersey number and Michael’s former jersey number. From what we’ve seen, the Trophy Room release includes the MJ insignia on the uppers similar to the All Star version from 2008. The gold and black color combination gives the Trophy Room XX3 an even more premium feel than previous colorways (if that’s even possible), and is limited to 5000 pairs, which are all individually numbered. And the white and gold Trophy Room Jordan XX3 (limited to 523) might be even better. There’s no doubt that these will be one of many exclusives from Marcus’ new store at Disney Springs in Orlando and quite frankly, we can’t wait to see what else “Heir MJ” has in the works.
