The first Air Jordan 12 released during the 96-97, in the middle season of Michael Jordan’s second 3peat. The shoe design takes inspiration from the Japanese flag, Michael wanted a shoe that was both comfortable and durable, an achievement Tinker Hatfield had a hand in accomplishing. Jordan along with other players like Pippen and Luc Longley also wearing them throughout the season. The Gym Red version features all red from the upper leather, through the midsole, and into the outsole.
