A unique version of KAWS’ classic companion, the Companion Flayed Open Edition released on November 22nd, 2016. Three colors came out on that day (Brown, Black, & Gray) while a 4th color (Red Blush) released a few months later in June of 2017. These flayed versions feature a “dissected” body of the companion, showing the interior of the figure including everything from the brain to the guts. These differ from the full body versions that also came in the same four colors. These figures released only at KAWSONE, MoMA, and the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.
