This KAWS x Uniqlo Clean Slate Tee White is special because it was released as part of the last ever collaboration between American artist and designer KAWS and Japanese retailer and designer Uniqlo.
Both KAWS and Uniqlo are giants in the streetwear world. When this limited collection released, it caused pandemonium at some malls in China, as shoppers stormed Uniqlo stores to get their hands on items from this collection.
This white tee displays a KAWS design titled “Clean Slate”. A Companion character carries two baby Companions. The colossal 23-foot sculpture of this design is currently on display at Phillips Plaza in New York and holds the record for the highest auction-price estimate for any KAWS statue. KAWS’ signature XX’s can be found embroidered on each sleeve of the tee.
This KAWS x Uniqlo Clean Slate Tee White was released on June 3 for Spring and Summer 2019 as a part of the last ever collaboration between KAWS and Uniqlo. This tee originally retailed for just $15.
