LA-based streetwear brand and sneaker shop Undefeated and Nike have come together on more than one occasion to release a shoe dedicated to Los Angeles Laker legend, Kobe Bryant. Released for Kobe’s 41st birthday, Undefeated wanted to salute Kobe and those who follow his “Mamba Mentality” with a release of some new colorways of the Kobe 4 silhouette. Arguably one of the best Kobe models, the Kobe 4 Protro Undefeated Black Mamba features a minimalistic yet aggressive design.
This black colorway pays specific tribute to the man, himself. The sneaker appears to be the original 4 models, yet contains some improved tech, a more modern upper and some enhanced materials. The shoe has an all-black upper made of a rubber and patent leather mix and the flywire technology that propelled Nike to the top of the basketball shoe market in the late 2000s. The shoes also have an eggshell white midsole and white outlined swoosh. On the heel are the numbers “8” on one shoe and “24” on the other with a dark “UNDEFEATED” logo below.
