Jordan 3 ‘Black Cat’
The Air Jordan 3 ‘Black Cat’ is ready for its comeback. Originally released in 2007, this AJ3 takes inspiration from Michael Jordan’s “Black Cat” nickname, a nod to his lightning-fast reflexes and agility.
These Jordan 3’s are as sleek and smooth as Jordan’s jumper, featuring a Black and Dark Charcoal color palette. The all-black design covers the shoe entirely, from its sole to the nubuck upper. Elephant print laces add a touch of subtle flair and round out the shoe’s design.
A masterclass in monochrome, the Jordan 3 ‘Black Cat’ is scheduled to release January 11, 2025, and will retail for $200.
Travis Scott x Nike Zoom Field Jaxx ‘Light Chocolate’
The Travis Scott x Nike Zoom Field Jaxx ‘Light Chocolate’ is set to hit the shelves in 2025.
The shoe’s mesh base, tongue, and outsole are adorned in off-white, while the overlays and midfoot strap are covered in crisp white. A Light Chocolate hue graces the leather swooshes, laces, lining, midsole, and sockliner. There’s no upside-down swooshes this time around, but that iconic Travis Scott x Nike co-branding can be found on the tongue, heel, outsole and lateral side of the shoe.
Say what you will about his music, but you can’t deny that Nike Swoosh smiley face logo is awesome. These are expected to release January 17, 2025 and will retail for $170.
Nike Kobe 5 Protro ‘Year of the Mamba’ (University Red Colorway)
There’s a snake in my boot? Nah. There’s a snake on my shoe — to celebrate Kobe Bryant’s moniker and the year of the Snake. (Sorry) Two Nike Kobe 5 Protro ‘Year of the Mamba’ colorways are set to drop in 2025, with this pair being the first.
The gold snake that wraps around the black Swoosh adds a bold and eye-catching detail to the design. University Red dominates most of the upper and midsole, with hits of gold on the toe, and a black sole ties everything together underfoot.
These look to be another W for Nike Basketball and are definitely one of the most anticipated drops of 2025. This Nike Kobe 5 Protro ‘Year of the Mamba’ colorway is scheduled to release January 18, 2025 and will retail for $190.
Jordan 1 High Black Toe Reimagined
A modern twist on the iconic 1985 classic, the Jordan 1 High “Black Toe Reimagined” is the perfect cure for your post-holiday blues.
A tried-and-true White base pairs with black overlays and Swoosh, accented by pops of Varsity Red on the ankle, heels, tongue, and rubber outsole. They look just like the 1985 release, and even come prepared with a pre-aged midsole. However, there are a few twists.
Most noticeably, the traditional wings logo on the collar is replaced with “Air Jordan” text, which you don’t see too often. MJ’s signature can also be found on the inner collar. Besides those touches, Jordan Brand kept things as close to the OG as possible with this shoe.
A legendary design like this from Jordan is bound to create a lot of buzz. By preserving the classic appeal, these are sure to be a must-have for collectors. The Jordan 1 High Black Toe Reimagined is scheduled to release February 1, 2025 and will retail for $180.
Nike Kobe 5 Protro ‘Year of the Mamba’ (Eggplant colorway)
The second colorway of the Nike Kobe 5 Protro “Year of the Mamba” is set to hit stores in 2025.
A gold snake wraps around the swoosh on the lateral side of the shoe, just like on the other pair. However, this time around, the Kobe 5 ditches the University Red and utilizes an Eggplant purple across the upper. A black midsole and icy blue translucent sole round out the design.
Maybe it’s because of Kobe’s legendary days as a Los Angeles Laker, but something about this purple pair just feels right. This colorway of the Nike Kobe 5 Protro ‘Year of the Mamba’ is slated to release February 5, 2025 and will retail for $190.
Jordan 5 Black Metallic Reimagined
The Air Jordan 5 “Black Metallic Reimagined” is set to join Jordan Brand’s lineup in 2025. Originally debuted in 1990, the AJ5 has become a staple on and off the court. Thankfully, Jordan is bringing back the shoe that started it all for the Jordan 5 by reimagining the “Black Metallic” colorway.
Just like the original, the Air Jordan 5 ‘Black Metallic Reimagined’ will feature a black nubuck upper, a 3M silver tongue and a translucent rubber outsole. As far as changes go on this reimagined pair, 3M piping can be found throughout the shoe, and like Jordan’s PEs, these 5s come with white laces.
With no real glaring changes, this release offers collectors a chance to own a piece of sneakerhead history. The Air Jordan 5 ‘Black Metallic Reimagined’ is scheduled to release February 8, 2025 and will retail for $210.
Nike Kobe 6 Protro ‘All-Star 2.0’
Add the Nike Kobe 6 Protro ‘All Star 2.0’ to the long list of Nike Basketball drops we’re looking forward to in 2025.
This Kobe 6 sports a nearly all white look, with Sail and White dominating the shoe from collar to outsole. The black swooshes on each side of the shoe and the black Nike Kobe branding on the tongue are the lone spots of contrast. The best feature on these is definitely the star-covered textured upper, which adds a lot of dimension to what could’ve been a pretty basic Kobe — no shade.
NBA stars like Immanuel Quickley have already been spotted rocking these, so don’t expect this drop to go unnoticed. The Nike Kobe 6 Protro ‘All Star 2.0’ is scheduled to release February 13, 2025 and will retail for $190.
Jordan 1 High 85’ Bred
The Jordan 1 High 85’ Bred is poised to make a comeback in 2025 for the model’s 40th anniversary.
What needs to be said? It’s Jordan’s first signature sneaker with Nike — the shoe that literally started it all. Its notoriety grew after being banned for violating uniform regulations. With the iconic Black, Varsity Red, and White color scheme, this 2025 pair might be as close to the 1985 pair as we get. One difference with this 2025 pair is it’s taller than the usual Jordan 1 Retro High OG and features a bigger, more streamlined swoosh.
The Air Jordan 1 High 85’ “Bred” is scheduled to release on February 14, 2025 and will retail for $250. So, if you were wondering what to get your man or favorite StockX content writer for Valentine’s Day… *cough* Size 11.5 *cough*.
Jordan 12 Flu Game
Among the select few iconic sneakers worn by Jordan during historic moments, the Air Jordan 12 ‘Flu Game’ returns in March 2025.
This shoe is inspired by Jordan’s battle with flu-like symptoms during Game 5 of the 1997 NBA Finals, when he led the Chicago Bulls to victory against the Utah Jazz. Black tumbled leather on the upper and tongue is paired with contrasting Varsity Red accents on the mudguard, midsole, Jumpman branding, and heel, creating a seamless design.
With its simple yet striking Varsity Red and Black color scheme, these AJ12s can do no wrong. The Air Jordan 12 ‘Flu Game’ is scheduled to release on March 1, 2025, and will retail for $200.
Nike Kobe 8 Protro ‘What the Kobe’
The legendary Nike Kobe 8 Protro ‘What the Kobe’ is making a triumphant return. Originally released in December 2013, this colorway caught everybody’s attention. In fact, this pair of shoes might be responsible for the whole mismatch craze in basketball shoes.
The ‘What the Kobe’s combine nearly 30 different colorways from previous Kobe 8 releases. The right shoe sports a vibrant Electric Orange base with a striking Volt Swoosh, accented by various shades of red and green. While the left shoe is the darker side of the moon, featuring a Deep Night base with an Electric Orange Swoosh, with little hits of blue throughout.
These kicks are anything but cookie-cutter, with mismatched designs right down to the outsoles. Yet, somehow, it all comes together perfectly in the end. These Kobe’s are set to release on April 13, 2025 and will retail at $190.
