The Nike Tailwind 79 Stranger Things Independence Day Pack is one of many sneakers designed in collaboration between Nike and Netflix original Stranger Things. Stranger Things is a sci-fi horror scene based in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana during the 1980s.
The silhouette chosen for this sneaker, the Nike Tailwind, is the first sneaker known to introduce air cushioning. This collaborative colorway of the Nike Air Tailwind 79 comes covered in white all throughout the upper with mesh dominating the majority of the shoe and suede overlays keeping alive the retro look. Red leather Swooshes are then seen on the side panels along with a red heel tab. Co-branded tags can be seen on the tongue and insoles. On the back heel, 1985 is printed.
