The Solefly x Air Jordan XX3 Marlins is the latest remake of the Tinker Hatfield design to reinvent the AJXX3. The Jordan XX3 was one of the most anticipated signature Air Jordan releases of all time when in originally released back in back in 2008 because a lot of people thought that it might be the last Air Jordan model. It would have made sense, MJ had already retired and 23 was his jersey number. The first and last colorways of the AJXX3 released at 23 stores in limited quantities, further driving home the idea of this being the last signature Air Jordan. Fast forward 8 years and Michael’s son Marcus resurrected the Air Jordan XX3 with two new colorways in retro form through his sneaker boutique, Trophy Room. Now, Michael Jordan’s brother-in-law Carlos Pietro has chosen a Marlins inspired colorway as a collaboration for his Miami-based shop Solefly. The colorway is a nod to the Florida Marlins 1997 World Series victory and is rumored to be extremely limited and looking at Trophy Room XX3 prices would suggest these Solefly x Air Jordan XX3 Marlins should be on your radar come release day.
