Supreme and “The Gonz” have had a long relationship. The modern day renaissance man was hanging out the original Supreme shop and skating with the crew since they first opened their doors. Eventually as the brand grew they were able to bring Mark Gonzales on as a sponsored rider. Their most famous skater, the man named by Transworld Skateboarding as the “Most Influential Skateboarder of all Time” is also an accomplished artist. You could see his skills in postcards he sent to the shop during his worldwide travel destinations, drawing pictures and addressing it to “Supream.” Here we see his original “Butterfly” artwork featured on zip up hoodies for the Spring/Summer 2016 season. Gonz’s interpretation of the butterfly is a clown complete with ruffled outfit and big shoes. Rainbow colored wings were added to the body, giving the piece ton of color. Underneath we see “Supream” added in his writing. The art piece was added to the back of the classic Supreme Zip Up Sweat hoodie in grey.
