As part of their massive Fall/Winter 2017 collection Supreme collaborated with large number of brands. But none were as big as being able to work on Universal Pictures’ classic movie, Scarface. Allowed access to the film’s imagery and words we saw an assortment of pieces released. The Supreme Scarface Blimp Tee brings us to a key moment of the film. The blimp makes an appearance after Tony Montana gets rid of his former business partner who trieds to assassinate him. He then goes to his ex-partner’s girlfriend and let’s her know that she was going with him. As she readies herself and ponders what her future holds up in the sky a blimp flashes “The World is Yours.” Tony would be influenced from that moment and phrase for the rest of the film as his empire grows and he tries and lives that mantra. The red cotton tee is a recreation of the scene. The familiar blue background, darkened blimp and words flashing on the side. Added in the lower right side is a small version of the Supreme box logo. Made in four colorways the Supreme Scarface Blimp Tee was released online and at Supreme New York, Los Angeles, Paris and London locations on October 12th, 2017.
