The Supreme UNDERCOVER/Public Enemy Taped Puffy Jacket was from the highly anticipated triple collaboration from the Supreme Spring/Summer 2018 collection. Japanese label UNDERCOVER and Supreme working together is nothing new. But the two decided they needed to add another to the team, namely iconic hip hop group Public Enemy. The focus of the collaboration was “Fear of the Black Planet,” the third album from the group. Most of the pieces from the collaboration focused on art from the album, mostly the album cover from artist and scientist B.E. Johnson. Supreme has been stepping up their puffy jacket options over the past few seasons. Adding to their catalog is this newest version of the jacket. Made from a water resistant lightweight nylon ripstop with quilted down fill. The full zip enclosure has elastic drawcords added to the hem. Additional features include adjustable velcro straps on the cuffs along with hand pockets with zip enclosures, also seen on the inner chest pocket. One standout detail on the jacket is the option to remove the sleeves, essentially creating a puffy vest option. The albums’ artwork is featured on the front and back of the jacket. The front has the Public Enemy logo along with the album’s phrase “The Counterattack On World Supremacy,” while the rear features the Supreme and Undercover logos along with the album title. A popular item when they released on March 15th, 2018, don’t be surprised to see this rocked in the streets of New York.
