Supreme UNDERCOVER/Public Enemy Taped Seam Parka

The Supreme UNDERCOVER/Public Enemy Taped Seam Parka was one piece from the much anticipated triple collaboration from the Supreme Spring/Summer 2018 collection. Japanese label UNDERCOVER and Supreme working together is nothing out of the norm, both brands representing since the 90’s. But the two decided they needed to add another to the team, namely iconic hip hop group Public Enemy. The focus of the collaboration was “Fear of the Black Planet,” the third album from the group. Most of the pieces from the expansive collaboration focused on art form the album, mostly the album cover from artist and scientist B.E. Johnson. That specially commissioned cover was the focus on the parka. The art is the main feature used on the entire front and arms of the jacket. The album title and group name is added along with the album’s phrase “The Counterattack On World Supremacy”. On the back is where we see even much of the same branding but with the addition of the Public Enemy, Supreme and Undercover logos. But the parka doesn’t just look good, its functional as well. It is waterproof, made from three layers of a lightweight nylon. The panels are all taped seamed with tricot backing. Form and function the Supreme UNDERCOVER/Public Enemy Taped Seam Parka sold for $648 on March 15th, 2018, selling out quickly online and in-store. Luckily you can cop the piece now on the marketplace.
