Based in Brooklyn, New York in 2016, MSCHF (pronounced "mischief") is an art collective that has produced a wide range of goods. While one of their best known physical products, is sneakers and some unique-looking shoes, like the viral MSCHF Big Red Boot, the group also produces social media channels, browser plugins, and even AI photographs.

The work produced by the company includes a number of quirky and sometimes even downright strange "drops". Some of these works include a laptop loaded with malware, a rubber chicken that doubles as a bong, and a dog collar that translates a dog’s barks into cuss words. In addition to these works, the brand has also made headwinds with its line of footwear. In 2021, in a move that was controversial but certainly made headlines and drew attention, MSCHF collaborated with Lil Nas X on "Satan Shoes," a pair of custom Nike Air Max 97 shoes. These shoes were a nod to Lil Nas X song and subsequent music video for "MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)" .
