The Air Force 1 was originally released as a high top in 1982. It was designed for basketball, though today the shoe is worn by the general public. The leather original has been compared to a hiking boot for both its profile and hefty sole. Since the 1980s, the AF1 has been re-imagined in a number of heights, materials and colorways. It's been successfully adapted to appeal to a wide audience over the years, and over 2,000 different AF1 variations have been released. The Nike Air Force 1 Low White is one of the most popular shoes in the world, at one point selling millions of pairs per year. The Nike Air Force 1 Low Supreme White adds just a small red logo box to this classic. Other Air Force 1 releases have been more adventurous.
