Nike Stranger Things

In 2019, to coincide with the season three premiere of Netflix’s pop-cult favorite Stranger Things, Nike dropped its highly anticipated partnership with Netflix. Known as the Stranger Things x Nike collab, the collection includes Cortez, Blazer Mid, and Tailwind 79 retro silhouettes. The initial “Independence Day” pack offers the shoes in Green and Orange colorways that pay homage to Hawkins High School. The second pack, called “OG,” has the three designs in Red, White, and Blue colorways. The third capsule, “Upside Down,” saw the Tailwind covered in a burnable fabric. When properly burned, the shoe reveals a denim base layer beneath a gauzy effect referencing the show’s Upside Down realm. Wearers will also discover hidden details such as secret codes and sketches that should look familiar to anyone who's seen season three of Stranger Things.
