Shipping Instructions on StockX

Shipping instructions on StockX vary depending on whether the item was sold on the Verified Marketplace (new, unworn items) or the Listings Marketplace (used or unique items). Verified Marketplace sellers ship items to a StockX Verification Center before the item is sent to the buyer. Listings Marketplace sellers ship directly to the buyer, or to StockX if the buyer selected verification at checkout.

Verified Marketplace shipping
For items sold on the Verified Marketplace, follow the steps below to package and ship your item to a StockX Verification Center.

Please note: If you are a StockX Verified Seller, refer to the Verified Seller shipping instructions instead. Learn more: What is the StockX Verified Seller Program?

If you are shipping a dangerous good from within the United States, review the dangerous goods shipping instructions before proceeding. Learn more: How do I ship dangerous goods?
  1. Go to StockX Pro > Pending to access and print your shipping label. Ship the item only using the label generated for your sale, as StockX shipping labels are based on the shipping address listed on your account.
  2. Place the item in its original packaging, then place that packaging into a shipping box no more than 2 inches (5 cm) larger than the item on each side. Remove all hazardous materials warnings, labels, and stickers from the shipping box.
  3. Use bubble wrap or packing paper to secure the item inside the shipping box.
  4. Seal the package across the side flaps and seams on the top and bottom using 2-inch or wider packing tape. Do not use masking tape, cellophane tape, duct tape, string, or paper over-wrap.
  5. Attach the StockX shipping label to the outside of the shipping box.
Drop off the sealed package at an authorized UPS location. To find the nearest UPS location, visit UPS.com/Dropoff. If no UPS location is nearby, visit UPS.com to check for a nearby third-party Access Point drop-off.

For some items, sellers receive a FedEx label instead. Drop off the sealed package at an authorized FedEx drop-off facility. To find the nearest FedEx location, visit local.fedex.com.

Please note: Using an Access Point or third-party service to ship your package may delay the order from reflecting as shipped. An order will not be marked as "en route" until the carrier's origin scan is received. Delays in scanning at an Access Point may cause the order to be cancelled if the carrier does not receive the item in time.

Sellers should obtain a drop-off receipt and keep the receipt until the order is complete. StockX is not responsible for items that are not packaged or shipped properly.

International shipping
For international Verified Marketplace shipments, a commercial invoice may be required. If required, the commercial invoice will be provided along with the shipping label. Bring all three copies to the drop-off location, where the carrier can attach the invoice to the outside of the shipping box for customs access.

Shipping carriers vary by region:
  • Most countries: UPS
  • Hong Kong, Mainland China, Macao, Taiwan, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam: SF Express, DHL, or ECMS. For carrier-specific instructions, refer to the StockX blog post on Express carriers in Asia.
  • Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam (DHL only): Visit locator.dhl.com to find the nearest authorized DHL drop-off location.
  • Level 1–3 sellers in Czechia, Denmark, Hungary, Portugal, Slovakia, and Sweden: DPD. Visit dpd.com to find the nearest drop-off location.

Please note: For SF Express shipments, sellers can drop off the item or schedule a pickup. At drop off or pickup, sellers may be required to open the package to confirm the contents match the shipping label declaration.

Listings Marketplace shipping
When a Listings Marketplace item sells, StockX provides a prepaid shipping label, and the buyer covers all shipping costs at checkout. Sellers must securely package the item and hand it to the carrier within 2 business days of the sale. For any questions, the buyer can reach out to the seller via Direct Message.

Please note: Listings is currently available to buyers in the United States, exclusively on the StockX iOS app.

Packing and shipping steps
Follow these instructions or your payment will be delayed. As a reminder, StockX is not responsible for items not packaged properly.
  1. Place the invoice inside the box and/or envelope with the product.
  2. Place the item in a shipping box no more than 2 inches (5 cm) larger than the item on each side.
  3. Use bubble wrap or packing paper to secure the item inside the box.
  4. Remove all hazardous materials warnings, labels, and stickers from the outside of the shipping box.
  5. Seal package across the side flaps and the seams on the top and bottom of the shipping box using the 6 strip, H-method, with 2” or wider packing tape. Do not use masking tape, cellophane tape, duct tape, string or paper over-wrap to secure the package.
  6. Affix the StockX-provided shipping label to the outside of the box.
  7. Drop off your sealed package to the location provided in your shipping instructions to be sent off.
For Listings Marketplace items where there is no verification purchased, sellers must ship directly to the buyer using the label provided by StockX. The payout occurs once delivery is confirmed by the shipping carrier. For orders that include StockX Verification, payout occurs once StockX receives and verifies the item.

For items where the buyer purchased StockX Verification at checkout, the shipping label is addressed to a StockX Verification Center instead of the buyer. The seller must still hand the package to the carrier within 2 business days of the sale. At the Verification Center, StockX confirms that the item is the correct product and size, meets StockX standards, and matches the listing photos and description.
  • If the item passes verification, StockX ships the item to the buyer and the seller is paid out through the standard payout process.
  • If the item fails verification, the order is cancelled, the buyer is refunded, and StockX handles the item according to StockX verification and policy rules, which may include returning the item to the seller or confiscating the item and applying a verification-failure fee.
