STOCKX

Counterfeit & Fraudulent Content Policy

Purpose

StockX is a marketplace built on trust, transparency, and verification. To protect buyers, sellers, and brand partners, counterfeit and fraudulent activity is strictly prohibited across all StockX experiences.

Our goal is to maintain a fair, transparent marketplace where buyers can shop with confidence and sellers compete on equal footing. Counterfeit and fraudulent activity undermines trust and will not be tolerated. If you are unsure whether a product, listing, or presentation complies with this policy, contact StockX Support before posting.

This policy explains what constitutes counterfeit or fraudulent content or behavior and how these rules apply to listings, images, Live Shopping, and other user-generated content.

Scope

This policy applies to all content and activity on StockX, including:

• Listings, titles, descriptions, and pricing
• Product images and videos
• Seller profiles and usernames
• Live Shopping video, audio, and chat
• AI-generated or enhanced content
• Ratings, reviews, and engagement behavior

Policy

What Is Not Allowed

To preserve marketplace integrity, any behavior attempting to mislead buyers or artificially alter marketplace dynamics is completely barred.

Counterfeit and Unauthorized Products

The following are not permitted on StockX:

• Fake, replica, knock-off, or otherwise unauthorized products.
• Items marketed or described in a way that implies they are genuine, verified, certified, or affiliated with a brand when they are not.
• Use of terms or coded language such as “replica,” “knock-off,” “UA,” “1:1,” “mirror,” “dupe,” or similar language to describe or imply counterfeit goods.

Misrepresentation and Deceptive Listings

Listings must accurately represent the item being sold. The following are prohibited:

• Misrepresenting a product’s condition, attributes, origin, or completeness.
• Misleading titles, descriptions, or pricing intended to deceive buyers.
• Claims of brand authorization, certification, endorsement, or affiliation that do not exist.
• Representing an item as new, unused, or complete when it is not.

Deceptive or Misleading Visuals

The following visual practices are not allowed:

• Using stock images, brand images, or images of a different item than the one being sold.
• Edited or manipulated images that materially alter the appearance, condition, or attributes of the product.
• AI-generated or synthetic images or video that misrepresent the product, its condition, or its association with a brand.
• Visuals that imply verification or certification that has not been determined by StockX.

Fraudulent or Manipulative Behavior

The following behavior is prohibited:

• Impersonation of another seller, brand, or individual.
• Fabricated or misleading ratings, reviews, or engagement.
• Shill bidding or any attempt to artificially influence pricing, demand, or perceived market value.
• Coordinated or repeated attempts to bypass StockX safeguards or enforcement.

Live Shopping Standards

Because Live Shopping involves real-time interaction and purchasing decisions, products presented during Live streams must be accurately represented.

Streamers may not present items they do not possess or intend to sell. Misrepresentation during Live Shopping may result in immediate stream interruption or termination.

Live enforcement may be stricter due to the risk of real-time buyer harm.

Verification and Representation

StockX operates a verified marketplace where products are reviewed against StockX’s verification standards prior to completion of a sale or ship directly from a Verified Seller. However, StockX does not manufacture products or act on behalf of brands.

StockX does not verify products sold through the Live Marketplace. Sellers and streamers are responsible for accurate representation of items.

Misrepresentation or deceptive conduct may result in enforcement regardless of intent.

How We Enforce This Policy

Violations of this policy may result in actions including, but not limited to:

• Removal of listings or content
• Suspension or removal of listings
• Stream interruption or termination
• Temporary or permanent account suspension
• Permanent account bans for severe or repeated violations
• Reporting to authorities

What to do if you believe you have received a counterfeit item

If you believe you have received a counterfeit item, we ask that you submit a Buyer Promise Support Request form. We require buyers to submit their request within ten days of receiving the item so we can work expeditiously to resolve the issue.

You will be asked to provide additional information, including photos to help us investigate your claim. Learn more about our Buyer Promise Policy.
