STOCKX
Hate & Harassment Policy
Purpose
StockX expects all users to treat each other with respect. We do not allow hateful or harassing content or behavior on our platform, and we take reports of hate and harassment seriously, especially when they target protected groups. This policy outlines what type of content is allowed and what is not allowed.
Scope
This policy applies to:
This policy does not supersede applicable local, state, or federal laws or regulations. Where conflicts exist, legal requirements shall take precedence.
Policy
Hateful Conduct & Imagery
StockX does not allow content, conduct, or imagery that attacks, degrades, dehumanizes, or promotes hostility toward individuals or groups based on protected characteristics such as race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or similar status. Artistic expression, satire, and commentary about institutions, symbols, social movements, or historical events are permitted, provided it does not attack, degrade, dehumanize, or promote hostility toward individuals or groups based on a protected characteristic. Content that promotes or endorses violence against protected groups is addressed in our Violence & Dangerous Behavior Policy.
Examples of hateful conduct and imagery include but are not limited to:
• Slurs & Dehumanizing Language: Use of slurs or degrading terms directed at protected groups, including language that portrays a group as inferior, criminal, dangerous, or subhuman. Content that uses slurs or derogatory language, even if claimed to be a joke, reclaimed, or self-referential, may still be restricted to protect users and maintain a respectful marketplace environment.
• Demeaning Depictions & Stereotypes: Images, graphics, caricatures, or portrayals that degrade, dehumanize, or reinforce harmful stereotypes about individuals or groups based on protected characteristics.
• Support for Exclusion or Discrimination: Statements that promote, justify, or celebrate segregation, denial of rights, unequal treatment, or other discriminatory actions against protected groups.
• Recognized Hate Symbols: Symbols widely associated with hate groups or extremist movements when used to promote, endorse, glorify, or express hostility toward protected groups.
Harassment
StockX does not allow targeted harassment or abuse directed at individual users. Not every disagreement or negative comment is harassment. General disagreement, fair criticism, or negative reviews do not violate this policy unless they escalate into targeted abuse, intimidation, or coordinated disruption.
When reviewing reports, we consider both the seriousness of a single incident and whether there is a pattern of behavior over time. Repeated conduct that creates a hostile or unsafe environment may violate this policy, even if individual actions seem minor on their own.
Examples of harassment include but are not limited to:
• Targeted Abuse & Intimidation: Insults, name-calling, degrading remarks, disruptions, threats, or repeated unsupported accusations of wrongdoing aimed at a specific person that are intended to shame, harm, or damage their credibility or business.
• Repeated Unwanted Contact: Continuing to message or comment after being asked to stop.
• Off-Platform Harassment: Severe, verifiable harassment outside the platform that results in targeting on StockX.
• Doxxing & Misuse of Private Information: Sharing or threatening to share personal information that is not publicly available, including home addresses, phone numbers, private email addresses, family details, financial information, or private messages, in order to intimidate, harass, or target a user.
• Brigading: Organizing or encouraging others to target, harass, or disrupt a user in a coordinated way, including flooding a Live stream or listing with hostile comments, review bombing, or abusing reporting tools.
• Sexual Harassment: Unwanted sexual comments, advances, or behavior directed at a user, including objectifying remarks, unsolicited sexual messages or images, pressure to share sexual content, or sexualized comments during Live streams or in chat. Severe sexual exploitation is addressed in the Graphic & Sexual Content Policy.
How We Enforce This Policy
Some language, symbols, or slogans may have multiple meanings or evolving interpretations. Content will not be restricted solely because a term or image may be associated with controversial individuals, movements, or online communities. However, StockX may review the full context, presentation, and associated content to determine whether the content promotes harmful conduct toward protected groups.
If you see something that may violate this policy, please report it using the tools available on the platform. If you believe another user’s behavior poses a real-world safety risk or makes you feel unsafe, please contact your local law enforcement or appropriate authorities. You should also report the issue to StockX so we can review and take action under our policies.
StockX reserves the sole right to determine whether any content violates this policy and may remove content at any time without prior notice. Violations of this policy may result in enforcement actions as described in our Enforcement Policy.
Review & Updates
This policy will be reviewed on an annual basis, or sooner if warranted by changes in law, regulation, business practice, or risk exposure. All material updates will be communicated to affected parties prior to the effective date of changes.
