The Air Jordan 1 Shadows return on Saturday April 14th, once again casting its shadow across the sneaker-release landscape. Featuring a black and grey upper with a white sole, The Air Jordan 1 Shadows were released in 1985 as one of the original 14 colorways.

The Air Jordan 1, including the Air Jordan 1 Shadows, was designed by Peter Moore, and initially, Jordan hated the design. MJ eventually came around on the design, and the rest, as they say, is history. From 1985-1987, Jordan 1s reigned supreme (a new Air Jordan model was not released in 1986 because of Jordan’s foot injury in 1986). By 1987, Nike was no longer making Jordan 1s, and it would be another 8 years until the first Air Jordan 1 retros hit the market.
Since 1994, Nike has been rolling out retro versions of the of the OG model at a steady clip. However, the 4/14 release of the Air Jordan 1 “Shadow” marks only the fourth time this classic colorway has seen the light of day.
