After 20 weeks, the Supreme Spring/Summer 2021 season has officially come to a close. The spring started with a bang as Supreme elected KAWS to be their opening week collaboration, kicking the season off with the release of the archival KAWS Chalk Logo Hoodie. Just two weeks after that, Supreme and Nike came together for back-to-back drops in Weeks 2 and 3. After an action packed start to the season, Supreme continued to deliver for the following 17 weeks, releasing exciting new collaborations and accessories with brands like Emilio Pucci and Nerf. With the season officially over, we’ve taken a look back at the best Supreme drops of Spring/Summer 2021.
Supreme Spring/Summer 2021 Week 1
Supreme’s Week 1 releases for Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter are usually the two biggest releases of the year. This is partly because Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter Week 1s tend to include the most product, and partly because at least two or three of the preview’s best items are usually dropped. For Spring/Summer 2021, Week 1 brought the heat in both regards. Widely considered to be the most exciting piece shown in the preview, the week’s hottest item was KAWS Chalk Logo Hoodie. This hoodie was made available in seven different colors, and as far as Spring/Summer 2021 goes, it’s the most popular apparel item of the season. Other popular pieces from the release included the Supreme Water Pistol T-shirt, the Aluminum Dice Set, and the Raphael T-shirt.
Supreme Week 18
Though the KAWS Chalk Logo Hoodie capped the season as the most popular Supreme piece of Spring/Summer 2021, it may not hold the crown for long. Released in Week 18 of Spring/Summer 2021 as a part of Supreme’s Summer Tees drop, the KAWS Chalk Logo T-shirt is catching up to its hoodie counterpart, and fast. Delivered just two weeks before the end of the season, the KAWS Chalk Logo T-shirt has quickly become one of the most popular pieces of the year so far. Relatively low resale prices have played a large part in the Supreme KAWS Chalk Logo T-shirt’s path to dominance. Just three weeks after dropping, KAWS Chalk Logo T-shirt resale prices are below $100 in all colorways. Also released as a part of this Supreme drop was the Milano T-shirt, the 190 Bowery iPhone 12 Case, and the Snake T-shirt.
Supreme x Emilio Pucci (Week 16)
Supreme’s Spring/Summer Season was packed to the brim with partnerships new and old, delivering a mix of new collaborations that felt both fresh and familiar. In Week 16, Supreme collaborated with Italian luxury fashion house, Emilio Pucci. The partnership resulted in 43 Supreme x Emilio Pucci pieces including Smoking Jackets and Zippo Lighters. The entire collaboration was well-received but the most anticipated and most popular pieces from the collection were the Supreme Box Logos. A total of nine Box Logos were released and each featured Emilio Pucci’s archival Fantasia print set as the background for the iconic Supreme logo. While not quite as popular as the KAWS Chalk Logo Hoodie and T-shirt, the Supreme Emilio Pucci Box Logo will likely finish the season as the third most popular piece of Spring/Summer 2021.
Supreme x Nike (Weeks 2 & 3)
Prior to the Spring/Summer 2021 season, there were rumors that this would be a banner year for Supreme x Nike drops. With Fall/Winter 2021 yet to be released, there’s still a lot of expectation built up around the partnership, but Supreme and Nike did everything they needed to in order to satisfy their fans in Spring/Summer 2021. It all began in Week 2, when the two brands announced that they’d be releasing four colorways of an SB Dunk Low, one of Nike’s most popular silhouettes. The sneakers also featured a very similar croc-embossed and stars-emblazoned design as the highly-coveted 2003 Supreme Nike Dunk High Pro.
Just one week after releasing what was one of the biggest sneaker collaborations of 2021 to that point, Supreme and Nike returned to deliver an apparel collection. While not quite as hot as the shoes, the Supreme x Nike apparel collection was still one of the biggest drops of the season. As if back-to-back releases weren’t quite enough, Nike restocked their Supreme collaboration on SNKRS just a few weeks behind its initial drop. Hopefully that means we can expect to continue seeing Supreme x Nike drops on SNKRS.
Supreme Milan Box Logo T-shirt
One of the biggest stories of the Supreme Spring/Summer 2021 season was the brand’s establishment of a brick and mortar store in Milan, Italy. Not only was this a big deal because of Supreme’s unstoppable growth, but also because it meant we’d be receiving another store opening Box Logo T-shirt. The Supreme Milan Box Logo T-shirt is one of the most popular pieces from this season and that’s not without good reason. The shirt features the artwork of Leonardo Da Vinci, merging one of the world’s most recognizable paintings, The Last Supper, and one of the world’s most recognizable logos, the Supreme Box Logo. Unfortunately, Supreme broke from their traditional Store Opening Box Logo release methods and held back from dropping the t-shirt online. That means this Supreme drop was a Milan-exclusive, making it extra rare with price premiums of more than 1,700% to show for it.
Supreme Week 5
Supreme’s Spring/Summer 2021 Week 5 delivery was a big one for two reasons. For starters, it was the brand’s first The North Face collaboration of the season. On top of that, Supreme also released what would become their most popular accessory of Spring/Summer 2021, the Yashica MF-1 Camera. The Reusable Yashica MF-1 Camera was made available in two colors, red and black, and each featured a Supreme logo across the front. The Supreme The North Face collaboration was centered around a metal stud print but also included a hoodie and t-shirt with an all-over print Ice Climb graphic. Between the camera and The North Face, Supreme’s Week 5 release was one of the biggest of the season.
Supreme Week 6
For Week 6, Supreme dropped one of their most anticipated collaborations of the entire season. Announced unofficially before Week 1, Supreme x Wheaties was one of the most looked forward to releases of Spring/Summer 2021. Thankfully, the actual release didn’t disappoint fans, delivering not only two colors of a Wheaties cereal box but also two t-shirts. Since their release, the Supreme x Wheaties T-shirts have become two of the most popular pieces of the season, with both colorways ranking in the top ten most resold items released in Spring/Summer 2021.
