Montreal-based design studio JJJJound has risen to stardom due to its minimalist approach and commitment to delivering high-quality products. While their apparel and home goods have been instant sellouts in the past, it has been JJJJoundā€™s sneaker collaborations with Reebok and New Balance that has catapulted the brand into the cultural spotlight. Just last week, the New Balance 992 JJJJound GreyĀ released exclusively on the JJJJound web store and sold out as fast as it arrived. Now, this Friday, a second collaborative colorway is underway.

Staying in line with the JJJJound aesthetic, the New Balance 992 JJJJound Green displays sophistication through minimalism. Two-tone green suede and mesh make up most of the upper while dark grey underlays and navy blue detailing add tonal layers that give the silhouette dimensionality. A cream midsole, JJJJound branding on the heel, and a black outsole complete the design.

You can purchase the New Balance 992 JJJJound Green on July 31st at the JJJJound web store for a retail price of $260 USD.

Thanks in part to Kawhi Leonard and a strong supporting cast of rising talent, New Balance has made great strides into the world of basketball over the past year. The OMN1S debuted as their first improved basketball shoe last summer and now, the New Balance OMN1S Low is initiating the next phase in NBā€™s raid into performance basketball footwear.

The New Balance OMN1S Low Berry Lime offers the same fan-favorite technologies as its predecessor, the OMN1S High. New Balanceā€™s signature FitWeave material comprises the upper while Ultra Heel lock-in and FuelCell technologies provide a supportive and secure fit for basketball players who are constantly changing directions. Arriving in a Berry Lime colorway, this OMN1S Low release pays tribute to Oklahoma City Thunder forward Darius Bazleyā€™s colorful and fresh style of play on the court. Bright yellow forefoot straps stand out against its purple upper but complement its light yellow translucent outsole.

Look out for the New Balance OMN1S Low Berry Lime to release on the New Balance site and select retailers for a retail price of $140 USD on July 30th, just in time for the return of the NBA season.Ā

Ronnie Fieg X ASICS Gel Lyte III Tokyo Trio

Ronnie Fieg returns to his roots to celebrate the recent opening of KITH Tokyo with the release of theĀ  ASICS Gel Lyte III Tokyo Trio. Fiegā€™s journey with ASICS began in 2007 when he was asked to add his own unique colorways to a trio of Gel Lyte IIIs, later known as the ā€œ252 Packā€. Since then, Fieg has built an outstanding catalog of successful collaborations with ASICS that eventually provided the opportunity to start KITH.

The 2020 Tokyo Trio pack arrives in three distinct colorways. The first shoe in the pack, the ASICS Gel Lyte III 252.1, pays homage to the Japan-exclusive GEL-Lyte III colorway that Fieg wanted to bring to the US in 2007. While the updated iteration retains most of the original color palette, it adds a few design changes that provide a new luxe feeling. Multi-colored suede covers a majority of the silhouette atop a two-tone sole.Ā

The ASICS Gel Lyte III Yoshino Rose makes up the second colorway in the Tokyo Trio pack. Drawing inspiration from the Yoshino cherry tree, the Yoshino rose colorway mimics the treeā€™s beautiful blossoms with its pink branding and hits of red on the outsole.Ā

Completing the pack, the ASICS Gel Lyte III Super Gold serves a look that is worthy of a gold medal. The Super Gold colorway nods to the US Olympic Team that was set to participate in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. It features a white leather upper with gold Tiger striped and red, white, and blue detailing throughout the design carries out its USA theme.

The ASICS Gel Lyte III Ronnie Feig Tokyo Trio already sold out on the KITH site, but if you are still in the hunt to add this piece of history to your closet, click here.Ā
