This article is part 3 of 5 in the series: Visiting Voices

Frank Cooke joins StockX as one of the contributors to this month’s Visting Voices series.

A mainstay of cutting-edge creative sneaker design, Frank Cooke’s fingerprint appears on some of the hottest releases of the last ten years, whether you know it or not. Cooke’s maverick approach and renegade style has made him one of the most influential voices in contemporary sneaker culture, always working behind the scenes.

This interview was coordinated with Bimma Williams of Claima Stories.

Bimma Williams: What influences you right now?

Frank Cooke: Creating new narratives that people will enjoy, I feel like a lot of old stories are constantly being recycled. There needs to be a “nowstalgia” where fresh and exciting projects are being brought forth, so then you can create memories for the future.

What’s next for you?

I have and always will be into giving back to the community… My dream is to bring creative awareness to underserved communities, letting OUR voices and light shine. I want kids to be informed that creative jobs exist, and you can be damn good at it! Short term, I enjoy working independently, I get to explore brands and do projects that being the world joy.
