LEGO Technic DC The Batman Batmobile Set 42127 Black
Where Robert Pattinson will rank on “The Best Batman of All-Time” lists will be a hot topic of debate in the coming weeks. However, the Batmobile he’ll be driving is, arguably, among the best of all time, trailing only the vehicles seen in Tim Burton’s Batman, and possibly the Batmobile that Adam West drove around in the original 1966 film adaptation (in this writer’s opinion). LEGO delivered for fans months before The Batman hit theatres with the 1,360 piece LEGO Technic DC The Batman Batmobile set. This edition gives brickheads of all skill levels an authentic replica build that includes light blocks to illuminate the front grille and back engine of the vehicle, as well as front steering, moveable pistons, and spinning blue flames attached at the rear. You can pick up this soon-to-be classic vehicle for less than its $100 retail price on StockX today.
LEGO DC The Batman Batcave: The Riddler Face-Off Set 76183
A staple of any Batman story is the Batcave, the darkened headquarters of the World’s Greatest Detective that is illuminated by the glow of computer screens. It is a space for Bruce Wayne to put the clues together, develop his strategy, and do the necessary repair work on his vehicles and gadgets. This new Batcave provides an update to the quintessential location with a multi-monitor research station at its center, with a large-scale map of Gotham City, and a welding repair station flanking either side. To complete the 581 piece LEGO Batman Batcave: The Riddler Face-Off set you will construct Batman’s motorcycle and six Minifigures based on characters from The Batman including Batman, Selina Kyle, The Riddler, The Drifter, Alfred, and Commissioner Gordon. This set also holds some coded messages from The Riddler that can only be revealed by a special tinted magnifying glass that is included in the set. Score Batman’s epic battle station on StockX for right around $100.
LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Jokerland Set 76035
Gotham City is notorious for its long lineup of vile villains. The Joker, however, has always stood at the top as the Clown Prince of Crime, as none of Batman’s enemies have more appearances in The Batman series and films than any other opponent of The Dark Knight. The LEGO Batman Jokerland set transforms Gotham City’s amusement park into a terrifying trap designed by The Joker to finally take down Batman and Robin. With the set, you can help Batman rush to the scene in his Batmobile based on the version seen in the 2008 LEGO Batman Videogame. Upon bringing The Caped Crusader into this set, Batman will have to disarm the clown robot with the Batmobile’s spring-loaded missiles, evade Poison Ivy’s man-eating plant, save Robin from Harley Quinn’s motorcycle death ride, knock the Penguin off of his podium, and knock The Joker down the slide and into the poison-filled pool to save the day. This highly interactive and rare LEGO set has seen its production retired, it has been trading on StockX for around $165.
LEGO The Lego Batman Movie Arkham Asylum Set 70912
Arkham Asylum is always at the center of Gotham City’s criminal underbelly as political corruption or The Joker’s ability to manipulate its staff leads to constant jailbreaks of Batman’s most formidable foes. The LEGO The LEGO Batman Movie Arkham Asylum set provides you with a highly detailed model of the Asylum as seen in the animated film. On the first floor of the set, the Minifigures can pass through the security x-ray scanner that features several prison cells next to it, along with the laundry room. On the second floor, you will see a secure visiting center complete with a transparent partition, and Dr. Harleen Quinzel’s office where she is supposed to be keeping an eye on all of Gotham’s most dangerous delinquents. This is yet another retired LEGO Batman classic that has been trading for just shy of $200.
LEGO DC Batman 1989 Batwing Set 76161
Batman’s vehicle of choice will always be the Batmobile, but some of his battles are best fought in the air with the iconic Batwing. When The Joker hatched a plan to attack the citizens of Gotham using Smylex gas-filled balloons at Gotham City’s 200th Anniversary Parade in Tim Burton’s first Batman film, Batman was able to save the day in the Batwing using its extendable arm to grab ahold of the balloons and fly them high into the atmosphere, far from where they could do any harm. You can add this artful aircraft to your arsenal with the LEGO DC Batman 1989 Batwing. This is a much more advanced project meant for experienced brick builders as the set totals over 2,300 pieces and measures nearly two feet wide, making it perfect for display on a shelf, or hang it on a wall with the included mounting bracket. This piece of Batman history can be copped on StockX for less than its original $200 price tag.
LEGO Batman Batmobile Tumbler: Scarecrow Showdown Set 76239 Black
Batman’s origin story has been told time and time again, but Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy is one of the only times that the Batmobile also saw its creation explained as it was a prototype from a military research and development project spearheaded by Wayne Enterprises. The LEGO Batman Batmobile Tumbler: Scarecrow Showdown set thoroughly captures the intricacy of Batman’s most tank-like cruiser to date in just 422 pieces. You can access the cockpit by lifting up the top hatch, and slow down Scarecrow with the two stud shooters outside of its two front wheels. The Batman Minifigure in the set features swappable faces, including a “zombie” face that is seen in the film through the eyes of Scarecrow when Batman hits him with a dose of his own fear toxin. Add this LEGO Batman Batmobile to your collection for less than $100 on StockX.
LEGO Batman Cowl Set 76182
Through all of the adaptations of Batman, one particular item has remained relatively consistent and that is the mask that hides his identity from both his enemies and allies. The LEGO Batman Cowl set makes for a wonderful shelf ornament for any fan of The Caped Crusader, and although it is only constructed out of 410 bricks it is a stimulating build as it truly encapsulates the elaborate design of the helmet with its signature matte black finish. If you are ready to tackle this challenging build, you can grab one on StockX today around the $40 mark, almost 33% off its sticker price.
