The Panerai Luminor Marina PAM 111 is a base model Luminor that represents the foundation of the Panerai brand. As such, all the hallmarks you’d expect are present and accounted for, such as the iconic sandwich dial design, the cushion case, and of course, that crown guard. The design cuts right to the brand’s Italian roots, offering the 12, 3, 6, and 9 Arabic numerals in large, styled typeface. The long hour markers in between make for efficient legibility and provide ample amounts of lume for low light visibility. Inside this Panera PAM 111 beats a hand wound caliber from ETA. it may not be in house but it’s nicely decorated and visible through the exhibition back. The sandwich dial and small seconds at 9 o’clock make the PAM 111 the most desirable Panerai base model of the modern era.
