All we want for Christmas is the Supreme Mariah Carey T-shirt that dropped as a part of FW20’s Week 17 release.

We don’t want a lot for Christmas, there’s just one thing we need. We do care about the presents underneath the Christmas tree and this year we’re hoping to find the new Supreme Mariah Carey T-shirt. For the last several years, Supreme has released several different Christmas t-shirts and this year’s may become the most popular of them all. The Supreme Mariah Carey T-shirt was dropped alongside eight other t-shirts, including a Cross Box Logo in tee form that’s been anticipated since the beginning of the FW20 season. The Mariah Carey T-shirt is a worthy challenger to the Supreme Cross Box Logo and if any t-shirt is going to outsell a box logo, it’s going to be this one.

The Supreme Mariah Carey T-shirt released just one week before Christmas Eve of 2020, and if you bought it on release day, you might just be lucky enough to receive it in time to wear it on Christmas morning. Similar to Supreme t-shirts featuring artists of the past, this piece featured an iconic image of Mariah Carey, signed by the artist. The t-shirt is autographed with the message “Merry Christmas Baby XO” and marks the first time that Supreme has combined an artist t-shirt with their seasonal Christmas release. Surprisingly, this Supreme t-shirt only received four colorways instead of the full range of colors like the other shirts dropping on the same day. The Mariah Carey T-shirt joins the exclusive company of Madonna, Mary J. Blige, and Sade t-shirts, cementing the brand’s high taste and desire to celebrate undeniable talent.

While this marks the first time that Supreme has ever taken their autographed artist t-shirts to a seasonal level, t-shirts featuring artists like this have been dropping for years. Over the last four years, Supreme has dropped one a year, releasing a t-shirt for Sade in 2017, Madonna in 2018, Mary J. Blige in 2019, and now Mariah Carey in 2020. Traditionally, the artist t-shirts have included black and white imagery but this year’s Mariah Carey t-shirt is the first in the StockX catalog to feature an in-color image. Like the past artist’s t-shirts, the artist imagery used is iconic. The Supreme Mariah Carey t-shirt features the same imagery as her 1994 album, Merry Christmas, just as Mary J. Blige’s shirt featured imagery from her popular album from 1992, What’s The 411? Interestingly, Sade and Madonna’s artist t-shirts did not feature album art as the signed graphic of their shirts, meaning that design cue is more recent. The addition of the Mariah Carey T-shirt has immortalized yet another legendary artist through Supreme’s catalog and if we’re lucky to find this tee under the tree this year or any year, we’ll be nothing short of grateful.
