Supreme Polartec Fleece: Supreme Pick Of The Week

The cold never bothered Supreme anyway. The streetwear brand brought out the winter arsenal on Black Friday, equipping patrons with jackets made for the cold from down puffers to Polartec Fleeces. You can let the storm rage on with a top layer like the Reflective Speckled Down Jacket or add an extra layer underneath with a Supreme Polartec Fleece fit for the frigid mountains of Disney’s Frozen. If your vibe is slightly more elegant, Supreme also dropped two colorways of a Faux Fur Jacket, of which the brown color is downright classy. Supreme’s winter-ready outerwear received most of the attention in Week 14 despite the brand releasing a collaboration with Antihero with the Polartec fleeces performing best of all. 

The brand released four new Supreme Polartec fleece items that are perfect for building a snowman as a part of FW20 Week 14. The drop included hoodies, half zip pullovers, overalls, and beanies each of which was made from Polartec’s 200 Fleece material. The Polartec 200 Fleece is the brand’s second heaviest fleece and is made from at least 50% recycled P.E.T. plastic. The most popular Supreme Polartec Fleece from this drop was the hooded sweatshirt which features a stitched box logo on the front pocket and fits like a warm hug. The half zip pullover fleeces and the overalls each feature stitched Supreme Box Logos as well.

It should come as no surprise that Supreme has taken the Polartec material and applied it to nearly every classic item in their catalog. Polartec is the OG fleece and it’s no wonder their materials are used by brands like Marmot and Arc’teryx. Supreme Polartec drops are nothing new, but this season’s feature of the box logo on the front pocket delivers a collection of fleeces that will likely outperform the releases of seasons’ past. Last year, Supreme and Polartec dropped a more comprehensive collection of pieces, including hooded sweatshirts and half zip pullovers, plus crewnecks, balaclava camp caps, scarves and pants. The collection performed well, but if there’s a Supreme Polartec fleece worth melting for, it’s FW20’s featuring the box logo. This collection adds to a healthy range of Supreme Polartec products though, taking the catalog to a new level of fullness and diversity. In the past, Supreme Polartec collaborations have included the brand’s popular Arc logo, Small Box Logo, and classic logo dispersed across an array of different items from balaclavas and neck gaiters to tote bags and camp caps.
