Believe it or not, sometimes Supreme drops an accessory that makes life a little easier. Sure, we probably don’t need the Supreme version of a toolbox, step ladder, measuring cup, wrench, or padlock. But if the reason you happen to own one is because Supreme made it and you thought it was cool, the utility makes the accessory that much more valuable to you. This is likely to be the case with the Supreme WEDO Step Stool released as a part of FW20 Week 5.
The Supreme WEDO Step Stool provides a stepping height of nearly a foot and a half, meaning that the top shelf just became accessible. Made from a recyclable, shatterproof plastic this stool can support a weight of up to 330 lbs. Plus, the stools were released in red, black, and blue colorways meaning there are options to match your kitchen, basement, or bathroom. Each stool also features a Supreme logo around the lower outside edge. The Supreme WEDO Step Stool was released online and in-store on September 24th, 2020, at a retail price of $88 USD.
Destined to a life of being stepped on, kicked into the closet, and photographed in the middle of the street in SoHo and Soho, these stools are likely to experience some wear and tear. The description on Supreme’s product listing mentions the stool’s durability as “shatterproof” but we took to Amazon’s review section to see if we could glean any additional information about the WEDO Step Stool and it’s quality or lack thereof. WEDO itself is a German company, so most of the brand’s Amazon reviews read in German, but a review by a user simply known as “david” gave a similar stool 5 stars explaining that it was “excellent… and nice.” In another, the reviewer goes further, questioning themselves for not having bought one sooner. On average, the stools were given a 4.8 out of 5 rating meaning this is going to last far beyond its use as an item for display. At some point, this stool is going to get some use, and when it does, the person using it will be wildly grateful that it’s functional.
