After releasing a high powered collaboration with renowned Japanese designer Junya Watanabe last week, Supreme has returned with another high-powered collaboration. Shifting focus back to their home city, Supreme has tapped Tiffany & Co. as their collaborative partner for Week 12 of their Fall/Winter 2021 season. The release included several co-branded sterling silver jewelry pieces as well as a Tiffany Blue Supreme Box Logo.
Supreme and Tiffany & Co.ās first-ever collaboration resulted in the release of just seven pieces, a relatively small delivery, including six sterling silver pieces of jewelry and accessories and a Supreme Box Logo T-shirt. For those new to Supreme, the Box Logo is the brandās most popular and desirable piece so this collaborative version is a pretty big deal. The front of the Supreme Tiffany & Co. Box Logo T-shirt features the traditional iconic logo in Tiffany Blue while the back of the shirt features the name of the jewelry brand.
Tiffany & Co. is a luxury jeweler founded in New York City in 1837. With a storied brand history, Tiffany & Co. rose to prominence between the American Civil War, where they provided the Union side with swords, and the early 1920s when the brand became well-known for their high-quality diamonds and sterling silver. More recently, in the 2010s, the brand became a subject of some controversy and hardship and earlier this year, they were officially purchased by LVMH. Since then, it would seem that Tiffany & Co. is joining most other LVMH brands in shifting their marketing to a younger audience. Their most recent campaign features Jay-Z and BeyoncĆ© as well as a Tiffany Blue Basquiat painting from 1982. With this pop-culture-focused marketing strategy in mind, the Supreme x Tiffany & Co. collaboration fits right into the brandās evidently new ethos. All things considered, the inclusion of a Supreme Box Logo in the Tiffany & Co. collection is significant for both brands.
Supremeās collaborative prowess in Fall/Winter 2021 is slowly growing. After a relatively slow start to the season, Supreme has really dialed up the heat on their partnerships. Prior to Week 9, the brandās only notable collaborations had taken place with Thrasher and The New York Yankees, but since then Supreme has been delivering consistent collaborations with big-name brands. In Week 9, Supreme delivered their first The North Face collection of the season, with another expected before the season ends. In Week 10, Supreme worked with Timberland, and last week, they delivered an exceptional collection with Junya Watanabe. As the season enters its latter half, this weekās Tiffany & Co. collaboration shows that Supreme isnāt slowing down.
With the release of the Supreme x Tiffany & Co. Box Logo T-Shirt, the streetwear brand has officially kicked off Box Logo season. This week alone, Supreme released three brand new Box Logo designs. Released alongside the Tiffany & Co. Box Logo was the Supreme Berlin Box Logo T-Shirt, which was made available exclusively at the brandās recently opened brick and mortar store in the German capital city. Over the weekend, Supreme will also be releasing a Japan-exclusive Junya Watanabe designed Box Logo Hoodie. These three releases come just a few weeks before Supreme is slated to drop the new hoodies featured in their lookbook in December. And if this yearās Box Logo releases are anything like the last two yearsā, and they probably will be, itās likely that we can expect a release of Supreme Box Logo T-shirts in December as well.
