We had the chance to talk with Zaytoven about the importance of Black History Month.

What does Black History Monthy mean to you?
This month means humility. I feel deep gratitude looking at what my ancestors went through and survived, it’s horrifying. Thank God, we still rise as people of faith and endurance.
Why is Black History Month so important?
Black History Month reminds us of what we’ve seen, where we come from, and hopefully to embrace each other.
What’s underrated about Black History Month?
What’s underrated about Black History Month? The fact that black history only gets officially celebrated once a year.
How has Black History Month inspired you?
I’m inspired when people show love to each other and when they embrace our heritage. It doesn’t have to be only during Black History Month to be inspiring.
How do you hope to inspire future generations?
I hope to inspire the future through my works and actions. My footprint will always be one of positivity and inspiration.
