The spooky season is among us, which means itās time to dress holiday appropriate and bring out the Halloween themed kicks. For the best part of a decade Nike have been at the forefront of great Halloween kicks so weāve compiled some of our favourites to help you come correct this scary season. Letās get into it.
Nike Air Max 95 Halloween (2014)
Weāre going all the way back to 2014 for this pair, the Nike Air Max 95 Halloween. There are strong mummy vibes coming off this one, with several different fabrics and textures adorning the upper – including a lot of gauze. Nice.
The Air Max logo on the tongue has been replaced with a bloodshot eyeball, while rope laces added another texture to the upper and deepen the storytelling. Green highlights abound, and just enough blood red detailing tops off this one, for an all time Halloween classic.
Nike Dunk Low Patent Halloween (W)
A recent release, the Nike Dunk Low Patent Halloween (W) is one of the hardest Halloween releases weāve seen in a long time, and one of the most wearable outside of spooky season – take away the label and this is just a great colourway you can wear all year round – real Starfish vibes, no?Ā
Anyway, weāre talking patent leather like itās 2006 again, but it really works here on this colour combo. The black swoosh and black Nike branding on the heel are a nice contrast to the orange and white upper, while the matching orange laces are just enough but not-too-much.Ā
This oneās available now in womenās sizing. Go get it.
Nike Dunk Low PRM Halloween (2021)
This one was supposed to release for Halloween in 2021, but at least here in Australia it ended up being late and releasing in early 2022. So itās still ready for its first Halloween, if you think about it.Ā
The Nike Dunk Low PRM Halloween features a Sail leather upper with black overlays and orange Swooshes. On the black overlays, subtle graphics of eyes from creatures of the night are painted that can glow in the dark. A glow-in-the-dark outsole and woven tongue tag complete this Halloween design.
Nike Air Force 1 Low ’07 QS Purple Skeleton Halloween (2021)
We could have picked any of 4 colourways of this shoe to show off, but you know what? I like the purple. The Nike Air Force 1 Low ’07 QS Purple Skeleton Halloween (2021) is the 4th colourway in the series, and features a purple leather upper with skeleton graphics on both lateral and medial sides. At the base, a semi-translucent glow-in-the-dark sole and Nike embroidery on the heel tab completes the design.
Nike Air Max 95 Freddy Krueger
The Nike Air Max 95 Freddy Krueger features a mix of mesh and canvas on the upper in an attempt to replicate Mr. Kruegerās sweater from the classic film, A Nightmare on Elm Street. Thereās also a few well placed blood splatter patterns around the tongue and the heel, while blood red air units help cap off the design.Ā
These are a nice head nod to Nikeās classic Freddy Krueger SB Dunks that unfortunately never saw a wide release. The Air Max 95ās a great replacement.
Nike SB Dunk Low Mummy
The Nike SB Dunk Low Mummy draws inspiration from the Ancient Egyptian mummification process. It features a layered textile upper with cross-stitched detailing and a suede Swoosh overlay. At the heel, eye graphics peek out from underneath the layered textile. A glow-in-the-dark sole and Eye of Horus woven tongue tag completes this Halloween design.
These dropped around Halloween time in 2021 and were much sought after – as told by the current pricing on StockX.
