Sometimes, the best way to regain your motivation for training is to upgrade your wardrobe. A new fit, or some new shoes, can be just the spark you need to get where youāre headed.Ā Ā
Running gear on StockX can go a little under the radar, but that just means youāve got a better chance of getting a good deal on a great pick up. Weāve put together a list of the best running gear, including some accessories if youāre just looking for some fresh drip.Ā
Letās get into it.
adidas Adios Pro 3
Weāre starting off with the shoe that might be the fastest shoe in the world right now, the adidas Adios Pro 3. Itās the brand new update to the record shattering adios Pro 2 which dominated the global marathon scene in 2021 – adidas took the win in 6 of the 10 World Marathon Majors in 2021.Ā
The Adios Pro 3 falls into the āsupershoeā category – a label typically given to high stack racing shoes with carbon plates embedded in the midsole. The carbon plate acts somewhat like a spring – helping with propulsion and thought to reduce muscle fatigue. The Adios Pro 3 also features a partially recycled upper (which we love) and maintains its status as a premium lightweight racing shoe.Ā
Whether youāre into 5kās or marathon racing, this shoe bangs.
Nike ZoomX Vaporfly Next% 2
The Nike ZoomX Vaporfly Next% 2 is ubiquitous on race start lines around the world, and for good reason. Nike pioneered the supershoe movement back in 2017, and the Vaporfly Next% 2 is the latest and greatest iteration. They feature a full length carbon plate sandwiched between a big hunk of Nikeās most responsive foam, ZoomX. Up top, a super breathable upper to keep you cool when the pace gets hot.Ā
The BRS edition pays homage to Blue Ribbon Sports, the original name for the company you now know as Nike. Youāll find BRS branding on the heel as well as the insoles, and the striking tiger print is found not just on the mudguard but on the tongue also.
Supreme Running Waist Bag
This is me, a runner, begging you, also a runner, to never carry your phone attached to your bicep like some kind of generic Buzz Lightyear wannabe. We donāt do that around here. Instead, if you need to carry your phone or some other personal items and your clothes donāt have the right storage, cop a running belt – like the Supreme Running Waist Bag. Theyāre discrete, they stay firmly in place even with something like a phone inside, and they expand – you could fit a phone, key, and cards in here and not be weighed down.Ā
New Balance FuelCell RC Elite v2 SI
OK back to race shoes for just a minute because we got that new Stoney in slime green. This is the second time New Balance and Stone Island have come together for a connect on a pair of RC Elite V2, both times going for the torn, layered effect on the upper. These officially come under New Balanceās Tokyo Design Studio sub-label (TDS) but structurally itās the same shoe as the regular RC Elite V2 – which if youāre asking me (youāre not) is my favourite racing shoe for half marathons and longer. Itās a super comfortable, carbon plated supershoe that still feels ānormalā.
Noah x adidas Floral Paisley Runner
I actually really vibed this entire collection from Noah and adidas. The Noah x adidas Floral Paisley Runner Cap is a lightweight vented cap ideal for whatever your running can throw at it. It features not just a great floral design, but adidas branding on front, Noah branding on the back, and fully ventilated side panels for maximum cooling. An adjustable closure system on the back means OSFM. What I like most about this cap is that itās made for running – itās super quick drying because itās lightweight and breathable, meaning that even if itās dripping with sweat from your run, give it a few minutes in the sun and youāre good to wear it again. I give these caps a beating and they can take it.
Hoka One One Clifton 8
Hoka’s Clifton model is one of their most popular, and if you’ve ever put one on you’ll understand why. A max cushioned trainer that’s also impossibly light, the Clifton 8 is ideal for anyone who prioritises all-day comfort. The thick slab of foam not only protects your muscles and joints from impact on the run, but helps you recover for the next run thanks to the lesser impact.
The early stage Meta-Rocker helps you transition from strike to toe-off, while the engineered mesh upper is breathable and durable. The Clifton could be my favourite easy-day shoe, and deserves a place in every runner’s wardrobe.
