This week, Jumpman is adding a new colorway to the Jordan 13 catalog and a classic Nike Dunk High colorway is making a comeback. Find out what other releases caught our attention on this latest edition of The Drop List.
Jordan 13 Lucky Green
By now it shouldn’t be a secret that there is some serious love in the air for the Jordan 13. May’s release of the Jordan 13 Flint did some serious numbers and now stands as one of the most sold sneakers in StockX history. This week, Jordan Brand is adding a new colorway to their catalog with the Jordan 13 Lucky Green.
The Lucky Green colorway is fairly reminiscent of the Jordan 13 Ray Allen PE that surfaced in 2011. It features a white leather upper with green suede overlays and 3M piping. A signature Jumpman holographic emblem on the ankle, perforated white leather tongue, and black and white sole add the finishing touches on this 1990s marvel.
Keep an eye out for the Jordan 13 Lucky Green to hit SNKRS and select retailers Saturday, September 26th at a retail price of $190.
Nike Dunk High Michigan
Following last week’s release of the Nike Dunk High Spartan Green, Nike is bringing back an 80s basketball classic with the Nike Dunk High Michigan. The Maize and blue colorway was one of the seven original Dunk High colorways that debuted in 1985 as part of Nike’s College Colors Program, a campaign that brought school-spirited colorways to footwear in college basketball.
The Nike Dunk High Michigan stays true to its original form. As a reference to the University of Michigan Wolverines, Maize and navy blue leather make up the upper. A white midsole, navy outsole, and Nike branding on the tongue sum up this design in a traditional fashion.
Look out for the Nike Dunk High Michigan to hit SNKRS and select retailers Wednesday, September 23rd at a retail of $120.
Nike Dunk Low Kasina Industrial Blue
South Korean streetwear label Kasina is teaming up with Nike to add more fuel to the 2020 Dunk Low fire with the Nike Dunk Low Kasina Industrial Blue. This design is one of two colorways to release as part of the collaboration. Last week’s Dunk Low Kasina Neptune Green nods to exit signs that can be seen when driving through the Gyeongbu Expressway, the main highway between Busan and Seoul. On the flip side, the Industrial Blue colorway pays tribute to the design of Seoul’s public transport buses in the 1980s.
The Nike Dunk Low Kasina Industrial Blue features a white tumbled leather upper with Industrial Blue suede overlays and a yellow Swoosh. Kasina branding on the tongue, embroidery on the side heel, and an orange mini Swoosh on the toe complete this luxe design.
The Nike Dunk Low Kasina Industrial Blue will be available Friday, September 25th for $120 on Kasina’s website and SNKRS Asia.
New Balance 2002R thisneverthat
Korean brands and shops made a major impact on the sneaker community in the past year through the power of collaboration. PEACEMINUSONE added their spin to the AF1, Kasina announced two regional-exclusive Nike Dunk Lows, and now, streetwear label thisneverthat is teaming up with New Balance to add their touch to the 2002R model.
The New Balance 2002R thisneverthat will arrive in two colorways, grey and white. Each one follows thisneverthat’s minimal design approach while upholding New Balance’s intricate craftsmanship. The uppers feature a monotone styling of mesh and leather with black NB branding positioned on the side. The grey colorway is supported by a black and grey sole. Conversely, the white colorway sits atop a yellowed white sole that gives out a vintage vibe.
Both colorways of the New Balance 2002R thisneverthat will release Monday, September 21st for $200 on thisneverthat’s website and at select retailers.
Reebok Classic Nylon JJJJound
JJJJound is continuing its hot streak of sneaker collaborations this week with the release of the Reebok Classic Nylon JJJJound. The first time that the Montreal-based design studio partnered with Reebok in 2019, the iconic Club-C silhouette played the star of collaboration. Now, the Reebok Classic is the next silhouette in line to receive the minimalist JJJJound experience.
The Reebok Classic Nylon JJJJound is such a clean colorway that it almost seems familiar. The uppers are composed of white nylon with thick, grey suede overlays around the toebox, heel, and lacing portions. Classic Reebok side stripes are constructed of white leather to complement the nylon. JJJJound branding on the lateral side, off-white EVA midsole, and gum outsole complete this minimal design.
If you are looking to add the Reebok Classic Nylon JJJJound to your collection, you can purchase on Friday, September 25th on the JJJJound site and at select stockists.
