Nike KD 9

Nike decided to make Kevin Durant just the third NBA player to ever sign a lifetime contract with the company in 2023, and it isn’t hard to see why. Throughout his NBA career, which started back in 2007, KD has had one of the most successful signature trainer lines of all time. He has released nearly 20 KD signature trainers through Nike thus far, including the popular Nike KD 9.

The Nike KD 9 was first released back in 2016, just weeks before KD decided to join the Golden State Warriors in one of the biggest free agency signings in NBA history. Just like the KD 8, it featured a full-length Nike Zoom Air unit that was designed to provide extra cushioning while also delivering explosiveness on the basketball court. It also had what Nike called a "sock-like FlyKnit forefoot" to make it fit better and give more support. It had a unique lacing system as well that was supposed to help basketball players like KD cut on a dime more effectively.

Like the KD 8 and many of the other KD trainers that came before it, the Nike KD 9 was released in a slew of colourways. There was an all-black KD 9 Black Space, an Olympic-themed KD 9 USA, a Texas Longhorn-inspired KD 9 Texas, and even a KD 9 Elite Wanda, named after Durant’s mother.

Whether you were able to secure your favourite pair of Nike KD 9 trainers the first time around or not, StockX has you covered with a large selection of KD 9 options. Take a look at them below.
