My name is Nicoló, but my oldest friends call me Schniko. The concierge at the apartment block where I grew up in Vienna started calling me that as a kid. I didn’t like it at the beginning but it stuck. Doesn’t sound all that great, but I guess that’s who I am to a hell of a lot of people: Schniko. I was born in Vienna to an Italian father and French mother. On the whole, I feel Italian. Why go for anything else if given the choice? Also, my surname gives the game away slightly. I’m currently based in Milan. After studying industrial design at Central Saint Martins I spent the last 20 years developing a visual language that translates across the board.
