The Michael Jordan 1991 Upper Deck #44 is Jordan's first Upper Deck basketball card as this was the first year Upper Deck produced a basketball set. As with all Michael Jordan cards, his 1991 Upper Deck saw a surge in popularity and value during the 2020 release of the ESPN 30 for 30 documentary series The Last Dance, which heavily featured Jordan and his Bulls teammates Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman. Aside from Jordan, the 1991-92 Upper Deck Basketball set is well known for having autograph's of Lakers legend Jerry West, as well as rookie cards for Larry Johnson and Dikembe Mutombo.
