American streetwear brand Hellstar was founded in Los Angeles, California, in 2020. Founders Joseph Pendleton and Sean Holland imbued the brand with symbolism, choosing a name that alludes to the notion of finding the bright amongst the dark moments and their religious backgrounds.
With the founding ethos underlining the purpose of Hellstar, the brand is known for its screen-printed imagery. Illustrations that may at first seem dark extol positive messages. Hellstar’s clothing artwork hits on a range of illustration styles, with bold, unexpected messaging and imagery as through lines.
