Balmain

Balmain is a long-standing French fashion house that was established in 1945 by the late designer Pierre Balmain. The brand’s early creations were characterized by opulent fabrics like silk, intricate embroidery, and a focus on structured silhouettes. It quickly became known as a glamorous and exclusive brand.

To revitalize the haute couture brand, Oliver Rousteing was appointed as the creative director of Balmain in 2011. Changes under his leadership included infusing collection with youthful energy and bold patterns, while staying true to some of the brand's signature elements like the use of embellishments and traditional craftsmanship. Thanks to this new vision, Balmain's global influence and younger demographic continues to grow. Collaborations with colorful, fun brands like Pokemon and Barbie have introduced to the brand to more consumers.

Balmain partnered with the Barbie brand for a limited-edition collection of co-branded apparel and accessories that included a pink card holder made out of luxurious calfskin leather and baseball caps, while the equally pink apparel line boasted tweed bomber jackets and blazers.
