Brooks

Brooks, also known as Brooks Running, is a Seattle-based sports equipment company known for their high-quality running shoes. Founded in 1914 as a ballet and bathing shoe company, Brooks distributes sneakers in more than 50 countries and takes pride in its commitment to sustainability. The brand is known for its technical innovation and ability to solve specific problems runners face.

Brooks men's and women's sneakers often include DNA LOFT and DNA FLASH, which are propriety cushioning technologies infused with nitrogen for a lightweight, smooth ride. For example, the Brooks Hyperion Max 2 Crystal Seas Diva Pink features nitrogen-infused DNA Flash v2 cushioning and a durable EVA outsole. The brand also includes segmented crash pads in many of its road-running sneakers.

While Brooks is best known for its trail- and road-running shoes, it also produces sneakers that fall into the lifestyle category. Although technically designed as a trail-running shoe, the Brooks Cascadia 18 Extra Butter (Women's) features a water splash pattern across the breathable mesh upper. This sneaker is part of a collaboration with Extra Butter, a streetwear shop located in New York City. Brooks has also partnered with artist Damon Brown and outdoors brand REI.

What makes Brooks running shoes stand out is that they are designed to match a runner's stride instead of correct it. The company conducts extensive biomechanical research to create support technology that embraces the individual. This holistic approach to running looks not only at the feet, but also at the joints in the knee and how they work together.
