This American shoe brand was started by two professional skateboarders, Mike Carroll and Rick Howard. Therefore, its collection is inspired by skater fashions. In 2024, Lakai was taken over by Inversal, an e-commerce company. The headquarters for the label are in Torrance, California, which is close to Los Angeles.
