10 Essential Travel Bags According to Emily Oberg

Liana

Content Director, StockX Bags

You might have heard StockX just launched in Europe. That’s right, we have officially gone global. Based in London, StockX will continue building a presence with the sneaker and streetwear community overseas. Since our  jump across the pond, we’ve been a bit obsessed with traveling. That’s why we’ve paired up with creative director Emily Oberg, founder of the label Sporty & Rich and travel extraordinaire to discuss the best bags to take along for the ride, wherever you’re planning on going. Check out her top picks for the best travel bags below.

The Goyard Travel Trolly PM

Goyard is such a classic brand that you can never go wrong with. If you want to be a bit more flashy, then this is definitely the bag for you. Also I love this color and always prefer a roller bag since it’s so much easier to get around with.

The Louis Vuitton Aventure Cup Duffle Travel Bag

I like this bag because it feels like an old gym bag. I haven’t seen this Nylon Damier before but it works really well. It’s also super lightweight which is key for me because I always get a sore shoulder from carrying heavy bags.

The Chanel Sport DuffleThe Chanel Sport line is my favorite thing they’ve ever done. This duffle is a good size for travelling because it’s light and you can fit a lot inside. For shorter trips, I usually never check a bag so my carry on has to be big enough to fit everything I’m travelling with.

The Chanel Vintage Bum Bag

When you’re traveling short distances and don’t need to pack too much, I like to have a functional bag that’s light and won’t get in the way. A fanny pack is perfect for this and if you pack smart you don’t need much more than this sometimes.

The Louis Vuitton Epi Keepall 45

The Epi collection is probably my favorite line that LV has ever done. It’s super low key and subtle, not too much going on and they did them in really nice colors like the kelly green, sunshine yellow, red, blue, black and this tan color which feels so timeless and elegant.

Celine  “Made In” Tote

I love this oversized tote because you can fit so much in it and there will always be room for more. The big logo is slightly obnoxious, but in the most Celine way possible.

The Prada Nylon Travel Duffle Bag

I love the Nylon Prada line, it’s super light weight and practical for travel especially. They used to do the Nylon bags in all these super cool bright colors but stopped a while ago.

The Hermes Birkin 35

This is the bag of all bags. I wanted one ever since I was little and have been obsessed with it ever since. It’s just such an iconic symbol of luxury and good taste. The only flaw is that it is on the heavier side so it’s definitely not a bag you’d travel with all the time but when you wanna flex a little, this is your bag.

The Louis Vuitton x Sofia Coppola Shoulder Bag

This is by far the best Louis Vuitton collab to date I think. Sofia Coppola has always been a style icon and when she did this line for LV it was like a dream come true. I love that this bag is like a mini duffle and has a long shoulder strap, super practical if you need to carry around a lot of things on the plane like headphones, a book, water bottle, skin care products, food etc. I’m all about understated luxury and this encompasses that in every sense. I love it in navy because that’s my favorite color!

The Louis Vuitton Monogram Keepall 45

A classic. I’m happy the monogram made a resurgence because it’s such a good logo. I got mine customized with my initials which makes it so much more special I think!
